I would like to know if the best way of finding a marriage or death, with no details except for the name, is to search through each quarter. |

Do they have children and if so do you know when the first child was born? If so you could start searching the quarters about 2 years before the birth, would rule out searching too far back. Not fool proof as they could ahve lost a child but it is somewhere to start. Don't think there is any other way but searching quarters. |

Sally Freebmd has it's limitations due to be transcribed by volunteers. The marriage/death you're looking for probably won't have been transcribed yet. |
