Wilfred Robinson was born in Yarm on Tees 5th January 1891. I struggled to find anything else on him until I found his death 8th January 1971 (which showed the correct birth date) so I know it's him.
Wilfred married Sarah Lilian beardsley in 1922 and he is shown as a batchelor. The marriage certificate is all correct (Father's name, occupation & shows he was desceased).
When his will arrived the informant was a Dale Robinson, son and the wife is shown as Vera Gwendoline Robinson! So I assumed he had remarried.
I have just received the marriage certificate of Wilfred Robinson & Vera Gwendoline Buckler, they married in 1932 in Kings Norton and Wilfred's father is listed as James, deceased - which is correct.
BUT his age is given as 37 which makes his birth as 1895 and he is listed as a bachelor! Also throughout his life (1911 census, first marriage & his will he is listed as a tailor) but this second marriage he is listed as a Switch board attendant.
I am now wondering if this is the correct marriage! If it is he has given the wrong age, condition & occupation!
Was he a bigamist?

Have found birth of Dale Robinson in 1927, Auckland, Co Durham.
At that time Yarm would have been part of Co Durham so not travelled far - mother's maiden name is Beardsley but I can't find a death for her yet - will keep looking

Do you have Sarah's death cert? What does it give as her occupation? With luck it says "widow of...." Who was the informant?

No, I don't have Sarah's death cert . . . . . I guess that's the next one to get!
It's interesting to note that when Wilfred's mother was 90 in 1954 the family had a big party for her, I was there as a 9 year old as was several of her children. I have a newspaper cutting of it, a photograph and a long story about her family including her children . . . . Wilfred is not mentioned!
