Firefox; Flash Player and Windows 2000

I have Windows 2000 as the operating system and Firefox as one of my browsers (the other is IE which has had a bad press recently), hence trying to move to Firefox.

In Firefox I get told that I don't have the correct version of Flash Player to play clips, but if I try downloading the correct version I get told that it may not be compatible with Windows 2000.

Has anyone experience of Flash Player with W2000 or know if there actually are compatibility issues?

In my experience, the compatibility issues may be with an older version of flash player. Try deleting the old version first before downloading the latest version.
