I just had to delete 5 postings. As I pressed the submit , I got the error notice. When it did go through, I noticed that it had posted 6 times. So still problems on the site.

It's been peeing of rain here on and off since this morning, and I don't see any let up in the next few hours, It's tipping it down at the moment.

The garden will be pleased with it.

This morning I threw a pork chop out for the birds. A rook came down and planted it's feet on it, and pecked and pecked at it. All the starlings stood around waiting for him to leave. When he did, the fighting started between them. He then returned and picked the remains up and off he went, chop[ and bone hanging from it's beak.

While at Conrad's a few month ago, he threw out some cold sausages whole. Then a rook came down and picked one up. It did look funny seeing it take off with a sausage hanging from it's mouth.

Madam went off with Carolyn at 11.00 am. Don't know when to expect them back., but I expect it will be complaints about how her leg and back ache. I try to bite my tounge, otherwise I would say. "you don't have to do it " lol lol

Time for a cuppa and a piece of cake.

It's been a nice sunny morning but by the look of the sky it won't be long before we get the rain .

Hubby has been to see the doctor this morning about his dizzyness ,doctor did a test on hubby to see if it is these crystal's that are floating about in the ear and making him feel dizzy ,the test didn't really help!! so hubby has to go back in a month if the dizzyness hasn't gone by then .
His appointment was for twenty to nine and we got back here just after twelve as we went from the doctors to sort out work tops ,sink and taps for the kitchen, then on to Te*co's and Hom*base calling in to son's for coffee on the way home.

Oh dear Frank, MORE EXPENCE !! :-S :-S Is it £60 for a speeding fine ? plus points i suppose :-(

Morning to all my friends at LAST. !!

I am still in my dressing gown after preparing a Lasagne from scratch, including white sauce. Surprising how long it takes to prepare. Well it's all done.

Whilst in the middle of it the Postman came with TWO letters for Ros. One was a speeding fine. On Sunday we went through a set of lights ON GREEN !! on the left hand kerb further down the road was a PO(LICE VAN. I shouted POLICE SLOW DOWN !! To Bloo## late. That was at 11.52 am on Sunday. The ticket arrived this morning, didn't waste any time getting it out to her, did they ??

I am sick and tired of telling her to slow down. Perhaps now she will listen :-0 :-0 :-0 That's coming out of her account. ;-) ;-) ;-) MORE EXPENCE


William, next time you go to that café I bet they will be on the ball. They couldn't have made any profit out of you, with all those freebies. lol

I manages to get a row of carrots and garlic in yesterday before it pelted with rain. I also managed to get some netting up to support the peas when they come through. The runner beans have all taken and are looking very strong up the netting and canes I must say we did need a good rain, I had cracks appearing in the boarders
I tied the first supports to the cucumbers yesterday, the tomato plants have flowers on now, how good is that. !! I feed the greenhouse plants while it rained, then ran ha ha hobbled up the garden to the sanctuary of the conservatory. So nothing really got done in the afternoon, due to the very heavy rain.

It's dry and windy here this morning, but I don't think for long.

I bet the "girls" are having a whale of a time in France, they will have everyone around them laughing at their antics . It will do them both the world of good, and hopefully cheer them up for the summer.

Haven't checked my emails yet, but will forward any that I think are O.K.

Raining here today so I think it will be a shopping day.

Oh's car is in for a fault on the eletical sensors which we think it has had for quite a long while. More Expense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not getting on very well today with all the phone calls about the car. I was up early too as he had physio this morning at 8 am.

Frank I loved the little dog one. What a brave little mum she was. She was'nt going to leave any of her offspring behind, was she?

Oh is in now so just going to dish up when the rice is done.

We didn't go very far Mandy. We were going to visit one of Carmel's previous hospital buddies in Burbage, but I couldn't find where she lived and we ended up in Hinckley. We did all the charity shops, got one or two things, had a coffee in the Methodist coffee shop, very cosy.
Then even more shops, making sure nobody got near Carmel's toe! Then by 2.30 we were getting a bit hungry and went into a small café 'up the hill' that was under new management - husband & wife team. I ordered soup (tooth!!!) and Carmel order a portion of chips, plus tea for us both. The tea came and there didn't seem to be any sign of our order when we heard a female voice from the kitchen say "you'd better go and apologise then". Then the chap came over, apologised, and said he'd forgotten to pass our order slip back to his wife and he would bring us a fresh pot of tea on the house. Shortly after our food arrived with more apologies and the offer for us to choose a slice of cake each to make up for the error. The café cleared and we had a chat with the chap about Nuneaton, his home town and somewhere I'd spent some time in. Time to leave they packed us up two huge pieces of cake to take away with us with yet more apologies. We all make mistakes, but I wouldn't mind going back there again.
The weather was a mix of sunshine, cold wind and showers and hailstones thrown in. You can't beat a bit of variety!!! :-S

Frank, good emails today. I thought the engineers thingy on women was brilliant - I don't know how the graphic with all the moving balls was done (no, ladies, that's not RUDE!!!).

Hi All,

I was thinking of you two with these poly greenhouses and the wind. My friend had one one year and that blew away with all her veg plants in it. It ruined the lot and tore the greenhouse to shreds and bent all the poles of the frame.

Been up the tunnel and dug half of one of the beds and did a bit of sowing of short beans. covered another bed with its poly ready to put lettuce in and weeded another bed which on digging a bit I dug up a load of last years potatoes, pink fir apple ones. Don't know whether to plant them for this year or not as they grow so long on the tops in the tunnel.

Oh is out ringing with the learners and I am about to make Chilli for dinner for when he gets back.

We had a few heavy showers here in between the sunny spells, at one stage i looked in the distance and could see the rain sweeping across and falling from the clouds .

Well i wonder if the girls have got settled into their hotel ok, i bet they have some fun and laughs over the coming days :-D :-D

Maureen ,my toms and cucumbers are coming along nicely too, i take it you got the green house together ok ?did you anchor it down with the ties ? i thought mine was going to take off the other day with all the wind !!

How's the flower planting gone then Frank ? if you've had the showers like here then they have had a good watering in .

Well William where did you end up going today ? glad to hear Carmel's toe is healing , are you managing to eat a little more now with the new teeth in ? i bet your giving everyone a nice big smile to show them off :-D :-D

It certainly will be quiet on here without Jane and Ann.

All that planting will be worth it come the summer Frank, I hope you can send us some photos of the garden in full bloom.

Looking through the window the weather looks bright and sunny but I don't think it's very warm out there will leave the garden for a warmer day. Popped down to see how my toms and cucumbers and lettuce are doing, they are all coming along very nicely.

Poor David, if you are looking in I hope things improve for you.

Having a clean the house day, so hopefully be back later.

Didn't get on Sat. pm as I was busy with the cup final !!! and other things.

Conrad spent from 12.30 yesterday lunchtime till 6.00 pm apart from lunch, cleaning all the crap from my computer. He couldn't believe the amount that had got on here since his last clean up. So fingers crossed I will be able to surf the net without error notices. What would I do without him !!

I see trouble has got off, I hope she has a nice time, and a nice break for Janice.

I think it will be planting and potting today, Trays of plants everywhere, that need to go somewhere, madam is just going out now. I will sort something out for dinner tonight, then join her. I bet I get in the way, if so I will be back indoors out of the way !!!

Good morning from a late riser and evening Kim,

Not a bad day here today quite bright. It is usualy better in Cornwall than it is here so lets hope it is ok for Ann and Gordon.

I heard from our David. He says he has the district nurse come to change the dressing on the triple fixator and he has to laydown a lot and has fluid on the left side of his chest. Poor David must be fed up with his own company by now. Shame not one of us is anywhere near him who could visit.

Sunny but very windy, rain this morning but seems to have passed over now,

Maureen , I got the phone number of a hairdresser at the start of the year, but when I decided it was the right time, my head flared up and had to put a stop to the idea, then spoke to a next door neighbour and she said she would give me the number of a hairdresser and when I saw her she said that the lady was moving away so the neighbour will have to find a new hairdresser now.

OH off to Paris this morning will be back on Wednesday night, it seems he will be away for a few days every week till the end of May, thats ok don't mind a couple of nights here & there it's when it's all week, that it gets hard work, especially now that daughter no 2 has Kiah they don't come down for dinner very often now.

Maureen, you just said exactly what Carmel said - Viscious - a waste of the talents of two otherwise excellent actors. I know what you mean about the other programme seeming corny, I felt the same, as that was the period I grew up in. By comparison, radio at the time was a much better production of drama!

Going to be quite on here without Jane and Ann around. And where is our Frank lately? Hope he's Okay.

Carmel tells me we're off out today as it seems a nice but windy morning. Don't know where yet, we have to see how she gets on as her toe is still healing. Let you know later, don't get too excited ;-)
