the producers of the show are to blame for the current fiasco with Wiidders - they knew when they selected her to be a contestant that she would be utter rubbish - just as John Serjeant was - if she gets into the finals it will be the end of Strictly - they will have shot themselves in the foot

Cannot believe Widders is ten years younger than I am - I thought she was older than me!! made me feel very much better about myslf

The producers of these shows are getting precisely what they want - controversy, publicity and more money being paid by voters trying to save their favourites. There is a fine line though because there will come a point were those of us who watch to see the good dancers and singers will lose interest as these shows become too farsical - The Anns and Wagners are staying in longer and longer these days unfortunately.

I have enjoyed some of the entertainment Ann and Anton have provided but enough is enough - it is time they went and left the good dancers to put on a show.

I have just watched the US version - Dancing with the Stars - which finished last week. It was won this year by Jennifer Gray - who played Baby opposite Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing! I watched it because I love the dancing and costumes etc, but right from the outset it was clear she had a massively unfair advantage over the rest of the cast of non dancers. How could they seriously have thought it fair to let someone who took part in one of the most memorable, iconic dances compete in a celebrities learning to dance competitions?

She was excellent to watch though;)

But don't you just love the way Anton has coped with it. He is in the wrong profession, although of course he is a good dancer, his facial expressions are really comical.

But I agree the BBC have messed up, it is unfair to the others who are following such punishing rehearsals and really trying and improving. I understand what Ann says, it is the public who are voting for her. But she is delusional if she thinks it is because they like her efforts at entertainment. The public who are voting for her are doing it for the same reason as those voting for wagner on X Factor, they want to send the show up.

Gavin should go this week,he doesn't look as though he is enjoying it at all and would rather go home!

Liked Pamela & James dance very much, still 4 couples in it as far as I'm concerned..... and one of them isn't Ann...although I did think their routine was funny.

Matt and Aliona to win!!!

Ann did the splits tonight. If Felicity can do it. So can she. I appreciate Pamela is doing well. but I just cant take to her. She irritates me.

Talking of irritation. Alesha just goes on and on and on. She got boooed tonight, I wonder why. She's flogging her own 'talents' on Strictly. aint nothing like keeping it in the family.

Len still makes me laugh. Like a dancing barrow boy.

Still love Matt even though he did not get good comments tonight.

Gavin to go I think. Hope.

I'm waiting for Ann to dance to one of Wagner's songs :) Should be a Christmas number one ;)

According to Ann, she is retired and she is having fun and wants to be at the final. That the public are voting her in and this is a democracy. Blame anyone - blame the BBC - after the fiasco of John Sargeant - they should have realised. A good show has been spoilt. (Ann is getting paid good money for being there) - BBC instead of paying lump sum to each contestant now pays for each performance!

Well on performance it should be Ann, Gavin, or Patsy......... but whats the betting that Anns still there this time tommorow night?

Pamela and James were brilliant tonight, and deserve to be top of the leader board...Kara and Scott a few mistakes each due to lack of rehearsal time/ illness etc..

Matt not that great this week...I just can`t take to him....

Still want Scott or Kara to win...

If Ann does go on to win then they may as well scap any future series now as it obviously isn`t a dancing competition with the best dancer being crowned winner.

I feel Anns claim tonight that she is there to, and wants to win unbelieveable, in that case why dosn`t she actually try to dance???

She is only about 3 years older than Pamela and she dances with the energy, control and movement of someone half her age..why can`t Ann try something along those lines and just make a bit more effort??

I know the public are keeping her there but I just feel so frustrated that the better dancers are falling by the wayside while Ann makes a mockery of it all....

Watched Claudia on earlier. They showed Ann and Anton again. I wonder how she is being kept in. How do we know what the real vote is. They could be winding us up.

Showed the marvellous Alesha again. Giving encouragement and words of wisdom to the contestants. Isnt she marvellos. pmsl.

Loved Lens comment about being 'as confused as a baby in a topless bar' He is a naughty boy.

Absolutely gobsmacked by the results of both shows. I really like Pajge Richardson on X Factor, think he is a good singer, and if he has a CD, I will definitely buy it.
Even I have to say that with Ann Widdy, enough is enough. In fact, getting to the stage with both shows where it feels like NUFF SAID
Sadly, Julia in Derbyshire

Just in case anyone didnt catch the Sunday papers.

Flavia and Jimmi Mistry are now an 'item'.

But thank goodness there will be no more smirks or splits from Felicity.

Nickydownsouth Report 21 Nov 2010 23:32

I felt Ann didn`t even try to dance this week...she just steps around the floor, while being whisked around by Anton.....and what is all that dragging along the floor about?.....I think its quite undignified for someone like her.
I feel so much for the other contestants who put their hearts and souls in their dances to be ousted in favour of someone who isn`t really even entertaining.

Your right Ann...... with Ann staying in Strictly and Wagner in Xfactor it does ruin the shows.
