Hi Ann, and everyone

We were away Thursday until Friday evening ........... our best friend's 80th birthday party!

16 of us sat down to dinner at his house, all organized by his wife. And shew as very bright ....... she had it catered, and rented all the dishes and glassware.

So the caterers did all the cooking etc, served it all, cleared everything away, put all the dirty dishes in the crates ready for the rental company to pick them up the next day, put the "owned" dirty items in the dishwasher, bundled up all the dirty linen .................... and J could enjoy the party as much as everyone else!

We had a lovely ferry ride back yesterday ............ the sun was shining, and the mountains were in clear view with snow on the tops.

I have not been to the Corrie set but have been to Blackpool, the Lakes, Speedwell and London which all have featured over the years in Corrie esp Blackpool. I have only got Philip Lowrie's autograph at the moment but am awaiting Barbara Knox's one but it can depend on their filming schedule as I think their fan mail is left in their pigeon hole or something and they take them home. Also you have to send an SAE as their is no fan mail department,m they just pass them on to the actor or leave them in their pigeon hole.

Hello Moonbi, lovely as always to have a visit from you. You certainly sound busy. Poor son, hope his mouth is not too sore, and good luck for Grandson's op. Do you have a definite place to move to or do you have to go on a list? You will be pleased to get it sorted I'm sure.

We are off to daughters for the weekend, will pop on the boards occasionally but may not be as often s when I am at home.

never think to talk to them? well thats been the case for me these last few weeks.
hello all, from a southern autumn clime, though sunny and chilly.

I have been away recently, and quite busy with Gson because its Easter school break here for another week yet. yesterday he went to his other G-parents. so I am having a lazy day today.

Have been busy also with renewing the front fence which is almost completed, just another coat of paint on the gate.
My next job is to get the painter to come to do the living room and one of the bedrooms. then I think I am almost ready to put the house on the market. except for a spruce up in the garden!

Real estate is very slow to sell here, and the prices are way down, but I am still hoping for a good deal. I am starting to look forward to moving to my new location.
Things are going well for my daughter and she may be moving to another City after winter.
Yesterday navy son had his wisdom teeth out, but he seems ok, its good the weekend is coming up and he need not face up to work.

G-son is having his tonsils out in the first week of May, so hopefully after he recovers he will start to beef up a bit, has been very thin lately.

Im having a little more success with my ancestor research and waiting for a translation of a latin will.

Take care everyone, and its very nice to see others looking in to say hello.
hello to you all too

Yes Ann, it was great to "break the ice" with people we never usually speak to.
Maybe we should do it more often, without the fear that we are intruding where we are not known.
We see all the threads, and recognise most of the names, but never think to talk to them - silly really :-).

Tec.

Hello Ann,

As this is Visiting Day, I thought I would also visit you you :-D.
I have ventured onto a couple of threads - no one has bitten me, shouted at me, or been rude to me :-D in fact everyone has been very nice.

It's good to look over the garden wall sometimes.

Take care,
Tec.

Hello Ben, good to see you, I was actually only wondering where you were yesterday. Glad you are Ok and that is good to get his autograph, do you collect them?

Hi not been on here for a while. I am OK. I received the autograph of Philip Lowrie who plays Dennis Tanner in Corrie. I wrote to him via Granada Studios who make the show and he personalized it for me. Good to have something he actually wrote on in my possession.

Hello Ann, I often read this thread but have never added to it, I like to read some of the threads, they keep me in touch with the world, as I am disabled and dont go out a lot now, I think you possibly know why, I spend quite a lot of time on here. I often have a good laugh at some of the threads, some people are so funny at times.
Hope everyone is ok, and enjoying the day.
Jean xx

I thought I would nudge another thread up that encouraged people to add who didn't normally, seeing as there are people roaming the boards looking for strange threads to add to.

Congratulations to your son Moonbi on being in the guard for such an important visit. did you see him on the news?

Well done on getting the subs reduced, they were ridiculously high anyway weren't they?
