T.S.Elliot.

We shall not cease from exploration,
And the end of our exploring,
Will be to arrive where we started,
And know the place for the first time.

Found this to share with you all'

From quiet homes and first beginnings,
Out to undiscovered ends,
There is nothing worth the wear of winning,
But laughter, and the love of friends.

Thanks Mau. Just testing. Lovely sunday school words you (and Sneeze)print.
Our version had the second line "with a pure clear light".

Also remember "if you don't go to Sunday school you';ll grow up to be bad. For I want the Lord to be proud of me......

Best wishes Happy days

Jesus bids us shine,
First of all for Him;
Well He sees and knows it,
If our light grows dim.
He looks down from Heaven
To see us shine
You in your small corner,
And I in mine.

Jesus bids us shine,
Then, for all around;
Many kinds of darkness
In the world are found
Sin and want and sorrow;
So we must shine
You in your small corner,
And I in mine.

Nice to see this thread going strong. One of my very favourite poems is the simple and charming one posted by Agatha at the very bottom of page 15 (amazed that no-one commented on it).

I use the poem a lot and would love to know who the author is - to so give credit.

Happy days

Old King Cole.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Old King Cole was a merry old soul, and a merry old soul was he;
He called for his pipe in the middle of the night
And he called for his fiddlers three.
Every fiddler had a fine fiddle, and a very fine fiddle had he;
Oh there's none so rare as can compare
With King Cole and his fiddlers three.
