Congratulations Jem....welcome to the club

A lovely little boy,and a good weight....another twig on your tree!

So sorry to hear about Tec and the Duchess.
Since things have been hard for them I haven't phoned as Linda gives you all the news and it could be too much to speak, but it doesn't mean that I don't think of him.

I hope that she is comfortable and not in pain..also poor Tec...with pains in his chest.
Just hope he can have a little bit of peace in his beloved garden as we have had some lovely weather here inNorth Wales the last couple of weeks.

I have not posted much..went to the wedding of my grandson last Friday in Manchester, drove on Friday, came back Sat eve.was a beautiful day and a traditional wedding in church with reception in the church hall.saw my 9 great grandchildren,as well as the my family has grown!
Last Tues I had the last gulls nest removed and a big net put over my dormer.I just hope this works as it has taken me a while to sort this ...and has cost a fortune, but will be worth it for the sake of my sanity..

Thinking of you all...and hope you are enjoying the summer.
We have had some gorse fires up here which have ruined a lot of land, but no casualties so far.

Hope all well in the cave Shaun!

I am so sorry to hear that the Duchesse is so poorly.

After the river broke it'd banks, everything calmed down again, and so the river specialists ;-) are supervising the situation.

They are now worrying that everything is drying up, and if normal delivery flow does not resume by tomorrow morning, then they will take measures to release the dam ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D <3

AnninGlos Report 6 Jun 2016 12:13

Warm here again, not as hot and humid as yesterday though as there is a bit of cloud around. Very pleasant though, I have just been pottering deadheading roses and petunias. :-) :-)

AnninGlos Report 6 Jun 2016 12:12

Sending my love to Tec and his Duchesse. I hope she is comfortable and that she has a peaceful ending.

Special thoughts to Tec, our warm caring funny friend. stay strong Tec, we love you. <3 <3

A beautiful sunny day here in South West Wales

but nevertheless ... the river has broken it's bank ;-) <3

JemimaFawr Report 6 Jun 2016 11:20

oh Linda, I'm so very sorry to hear this!

My heart goes out to them both

LindainHerriotCountry Report 6 Jun 2016 11:11

I have copied this over from the Aussie thread just to keep everyone in touch. I hope you are OK Shaun

I managed to get in touch with Tec.. His daughter is there because the Duchess is extremely ill. She is in hospital, but they have withdrawn all of her medication as there is nothing more they can do, it sounds as if she is very close to the end.

They have been married for 53 years, he was very excepting of the situation, as he said "enough is enough" Neither of them would want her to go on as she is.

The pain in his chest isn't any better, so I think that he wants to know that she has gone before him. All very sad, but they have had long and happy lives, which is all any of us can ask for.

I will try and keep in touch with his daughter while I am away

MagicWales Report 3 Jun 2016 20:29

Hello Everyone,

I managed to walk up to the polytunel this afternoon while Oh was having a nap but was not up there long had to get back to the shade. Do you think we have had enough sun now DON’T ALL SHOUT AT ONCE, only teasing.

I’m so behind with my little veg patch where my raised beds are “well I thought I was behind “Guy the lad I said could make use of the beds I could not manage has also filled my raised beds up with carrots, turnips, swedes, spring onions, shallots, and lettuce he also done 3 wigwams and planted up with runner beans.

I am so chuffed with what he has done, he’s also kept the toms and cucumbers watered for me as I have been out action. My brother is having a day chopping wood for me tomorrow, I ‘m so blessed with all help I’m getting form family ie brother and my nephews and not forgetting my mates.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend stay safe and be good.
Night Night

Jem, you are having some nice days out and making the most of fine westher. I have three digital cameras that all have viewfinders but they are few and far between these days, mistly DSLRs and hybrid but I do have one compact digital that has a viewfinder.

Adam and Luke are fine although Luke has recently become one of the terrible twos and been playing his mum up. We think he has just realised Adam is here to stay and won't be sent back, yet isn't big enough to play with. Also mummy is always cuddling (i.e. Feeding) Adam.

JemimaFawr Report 2 Jun 2016 21:23

Noswaith dda Pawb :-D :-D <3

It's been a scorcher of a couple of days, here on the South Wales Coast!

Ann, I think the horses do belong to the Travellers, cos there is a campsite not very far away. They live there permanently now though I think.
Thanks Shaun for telling me what they are:-)

We have had two lovely days out.
Yesterday, and today, we went to see how the foal was coming along. It was already much steadier on it's feet.
The two other horses that were there a few weeks ago are back.

Crossing my fingers I don't get told off ;-) but we took an apple sliced up (no core or pips) and some carrot sticks for the adult horses, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Just enough for a little treat.
I fed the mother mare while OH fed the other two, cos Mum doesn't like sharing! :-D

Yesterday, after we'd seen the horses, we went for another walk around the Waterpark. Being half-term, there were lots of families there.

Thank you Ann and Shaun for your comments about my photos.
I prefer the older cameras with eye viewers. I'm not so keen on digital cameras, for many reasons. I don't think they seem to have the ooomph somehow.
But does mean I can cheat a little! ;-) I can cut out excess and arrange the main content photo until I think it looks a better balance, and also oomph it up a bit!
:-D :-D

What I like about taking photos, is not about the photography itself, but being able to share something that I have seen that I think is cute or pretty, or a beautiful scenery.

Funnily, since I have started taking photos, I have began to realise that I have taken certain places etc for granted. Seeing them through a photo that I can then share with others has made me appreciate the subject of the photos more!

I'm sorry, I didn't realise you didn't know about there being rugby on!
It was a bit of a nuisance cos it was only on Sky Sports. Radio 5 Live had the Soccer on with just score announcements for the Rugby, but I managed to find a Radio Broadcast on BBCiPlayer and post a link for Kandj :-)
We did miss you! :-)

TEC, Thinking of you <3

Ann, how are your little ones coming along? That's a lovely picture! :-)

Von, I hope you are enjoying your son's visit :-)

~~~~~~~ to S&S :-) Mersey :-) Bethan & Bump!;-):-) Sylvia :-) Linda :-) Sallie :-) Barbra :-) Brenda :-) AnnC :-) Elizabeth EOS :-) Hazel :-) and Everyone Else (Hoping I haven't missed anyone :-0
