Welcome Wisechild.....

I am going to admit I have never read a Philippa Gregory book......awaits onslaught lol.....

After putting this thread up I have been reading books from some of the suggestions that I would never think of reading.......perhaps its time for one of hers soon :-)

If you are interested in Tudor history I can recommend her, but she has also written about other historical periods & some modern novels too. They are all equally readable.

Have just finished reading 'The Tainted Tree' by Jacquelynn Luben. Downloaded it when it was a Kindle 'freebie'.

Addie is an American born to an English mother who dies during childbirth. She is raised by her loving, adoptive American parents. An inheritance bequeathed to her brings her to the UK and she starts her genealogical journey to find out her ancestry and whether she has any traceable relatives still living. The story is set in the 1990's.

Genealogy with a touch of romance (and an unmarried mother who was sent to a 'mental hospital')

July 1st was originally given as date due, but that's all changed Mersey. Mrs P is in hospital and rather poorly - better than she was though :-). We've been told that the pregnancy won't be allowed to progress to full term and everything is up in the air at the minute. So...fingers crossed. Thanks for asking Mersey - hope you are well?

Oh Dear, young Master Piers, we all feel for you, we really do. You know, there will not be a baby that is born that will have as many 'Nanna's' as this little one.
Open a thread of your own, and give us all a daily up-date.
We are all thinking of yourself, Mrs. P, and baby P.
God Bless you all
