Morning Ladies and peeps,

Tis January 4th already... We had a pleasant New Years Eve with fruit her hubby and Mama. We went out to dinner at a lovely French Restaurant. All very civilised and we were tucked up in bed well before midnight. ;-).

Our weather is up and down, as is yours by what we hear on the radio. I hope you are all keeping warm and dry.?. This time last year we were in drought. Not so this year :-(. I should be careful what I wish for I guess.

OH and I are off for a night away tonight. Most people are still on holiday, we get back to normal on Monday so are making the most of the downtime. Hooray :-).

Lesley, we hit your shores in early June. :-). I am pouring over maps and various sites on the internet trying to decide which direction Mama and I will drive when we leave 'up north' for 'darn sarf'... So many choices :-(. Reason aside, I am looking forward to the trip. Better start saving my dollars and cents if I want some spending money......

Better get on with my day, we are off to a funeral this morning and I am going with a friend to gawp at a wedding this arvo before OH and I head out of town.

Auntie, I hope you are well?...

Hello Dear Ladies

I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas :-) ours was VERY different this year............if I say I didn't have time to look for the perfect teddy for a babes first Christmas present I'm sure you will understand what our surprise/shock was..........but we WILL get through the latest event our youngest has hit us with
:-0 :-( :-)

Lesley now a grandma of two beautiful granddaughters :-) x

Susan-nz Report 26 Dec 2013 20:00

Morning Ladies,

I trust you all had a Merry Christmas?. Lesley, I hope the shock has worn off by now?.

Well, I survived a hectic Christmas Day. I am wearing my imaginary badge to prove it. :-D. The weather wasn't the best but we managed. We were an hour later eating than I had planned but best laid plans and all that......

I got a lovely voucher from Oh to spend in my favourite dress shop, I smelt daughters hand in the choosing ;-). OH also gave me a jumbo pack of Malteser's, my favourites. I take issue with the packaging though - it says 'share pack'.. I say naff off, they are all mine !!..

It is the 27th today and I don't have to go in to work. I can take the day to put the house back to rights. I woke yesterday at 5.15am to my Mama calling my name. She had gone into the kitchen to check the time and stepped right into a flooded kitchen :-|. Our filter tap hose had come off in the wee hours and there was water everywhere. So much so, it was coming out under the outside walls of the house. I have a nice flood mark on the carpet in the lounge and several cork tiles are lifting in the kitchen.... I know the floor needed a wash but puh lease :-0 :-0.

So that is it for another 363 days... hooray :-).

My dear ladies, I hope you are all well.

Teresa dear, all matresses need time to 'break in' and you know what they say, new bed, new baby. #ducks from shoes being thrown in my direction# I hope your nephew makes a speedy recovery.

Pleased little E is tickety boo Lesley dear. The Peter Pan hospital has lots of tinies through its doors. I myself was a patient there once. You must be proud of your family dear, and rightly so.

Now Upsidedown Susan, this secret. I would venture a guess, but I would not want to step on toes. I thnk all will be revealed in the in the fullness of time. Maybe 9 months?

Our Christmas dinner was lovely dears. All candlelight and beautiful food. Mrs Berry and dear little Holly did us proud. I have packed Mrs Berry off for the holidays now, she will return in January.

I will be going to France for the holidays to stay with George, Francine and dear little Valentine. Francine has some good news for us apparently. I do hope it is a little friend for Valentine.

So my dears, it is now time to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, a Prosperous and Happy New Year, Good Health to you all.

I remain, as always, your
Auntie Petunia.

Susan I am sorry to here about you nephew I hope he soon makes a full recovery <3

We have never had a pre booked cheap train deal from home to London :-( although our fruits have had some excellent deals mainly from home to Manchester, these fares have sometimes been less expensive than our trip to London last week :-S

Teresa E loves any catalogue..........................she tears them to shreds :-D

Mulled wine and mince pies anyone?

Good morning Ladies :-D

asvyou can see it is a little early, the new bed is nice and much more comfy than the old one however................ iam still a little nocternal. Tutttty tut tut. I think it is three decades of shifts which have caused the disruption, that and the M word :-| :-|

it is good news about little E Lesley, its shocking the price of train tickets nowadays. I really cannot understand why it costs so much. I expect E is a little young to be excited about Christmas yet. Never fear, E will be armed with the argos catalouge before you know it. The Fruits used to cart it around with them oohing and arring. We have a very good independant toy shop here and it was on route home from FTYs primary school. The yongest fruit had a never ending source of joy looking in it on the way home from school most days. They sold the danish brick sets which were so beloved of the fruit. Many christmas days were spent trying to construct the fleet of various star wars ships!!!!! FTE wasnt exempt when she was young. Igs amazing how the construction of Barbies horse box and stable kept three grown men occupied for almost an entire day :-D :-D :-S

We are on our own on the day itself but have relays of relatives over the festive period. It is the paid toils christmas do tonight :-D :-D :-D I shall winch myself into my glad rags :-| I fear it will not be as sedate as Aunties gathering :-D :-D :-D :-D thankfully I have a few days to recover for I do not venture back until boxing day :-D

Susan dear, I wonder what the secret is, Im having a wild stab in the dark here but isit ..........................or...................... ............. ;-) ;-)

I do hope your little great Nephew is on the mend soon. Lots of puzzle books, drawing and colouring may while away the hours. Mind you if he is anything like the modern day fruits no doubt he will have a hand held electronic game device of some sort to entertain him :-D

Well ladies, if i dont get to the parlour before the big day I would like to wish you all a very merry christmas and remind you that Mr Darcy, the ultimate in gentlemen walkers will be gracing our screens over the feative period. ( you may have to Google Susan) :-( I have seen the photograhic image of the new Mr D and he looks rather dashing. Mind you no one could replace Mr Firth in the nations acfections :-D :-D :-D

Morning all,

It would seem I am back :-). I was delighted to read of your festivities Petunia. I could just imagine the Nativity play.. No doubt my eyes would not have been dry either.. I hope you enjoy your dinner party on Saturday. Perhaps I could borrow your cook?. I am going over and over my me n u for Christmas Day and still can't decide on what to serve for 'nibbles'...
I am hoping the sun will be out so our guests can sit outside - the birds can have any crumbs ;-)..
I wrapped presents yesterday, I do try and keep things even between my family. I fear I am one present short for my fruit... Back to the shops I go. :-(.

My Mama is coming over on Christmas Day with one of my blisters.. There will be no room at this inn on Christmas night. All the beds and even bits of floor have been spoken for.. Oh well, tis the season to be kind to one and all.
My poor tree is looking a little forlorn. I am afraid some of the usual spirit is absent, I threw the decorations at the tree and it shows.. I shall make an effort to rearrange things - if I can be bothered.

Teresa, I hope your new bed is giving you a decent slumber ?. Did you get the same size as the old bed so your linen is still useable?.

Lesley, ooouch, expensive journey for you on the train. It is a wonder people use the things. Can you get it cheaper by booking in advance, not that it is always possible to book in advance....

Ladies, I am party to a secret, it is not my secret and I am having to be very careful not to let the secret out. I wish people wouldn't 'let me in'... You know how it is, the more you try not to mention a subject, the more likely you are to 'spill'.

I have a great nephew (8), poor little might has been admitted to hospital for a months bed rest. It is feared he has Rhuematic fever.... He is presently quite happy but this is only day three !!. The hospital is an hours drive from where we live, his mama is currently staying in with. There is a younger brother too. It is of course school holidays here.. The ball I have bought him for Christmas will be put in a cupboard. I shall have to buy something else.. Lucky I am going back to the shops ;-).

Have a pleasant evening.

Good Evening Ladies.

I see it's almost a full house :-D ........................cooee Susan do you still have the GR gremlins?

Today myself our eldest fruit and our grand fruit ventured to your part of the world Auntie Petunia, E had her 3/4monthly appointments at the hospital for very special children, the good news is one of the clinics only wants to see E yearly:-D the bad news is the ophthalmology clinic want to see her again in April :-( maybe and only maybe after April E might be referred back to Teresa's part of the world :-D I really hope so as today train fare was £94 for two adults..................I did say we only wanted to travel on the train and not buy it :-D

Teresa I hope you are happy and that you are sleeping better in your new super duper bed :-)

Petunia I have tried everywhere I can think of to buy monkey brains and Mendel's peas.....................alas I haven't had any joy..................but I have had a few strange looks :-S
