I shall look forward to a mini meet in the parlour :-).

My Mama is doing quite well though still very emotional of course. It does worry me that we all live in a different town to her... My male fruit is there but is a busy bee, he calls in when he can. I spoke to Mama this afternoon, the man to read the meter came today and asked after 'her husband', poor Mama had to explain. There are so many instances where the story has to be told. Mama had ordered a new bed while Dad was still alive, the shop assistant rang on Friday and asked to speak to my Papa :-D :-|, Dad didn't even set foot in the shop...... Oh well.

I have booked our flights, now I shall be all of a dither that my Mama is well enough to travel come next June.... She is nearly as old as you Petunia, give or take a few years.

My female fruit has been over this afternoon to tell me her OH's granddad has been diagnosed with a brain tumour..... SIL has already lost one grandparent this year, my fruit , two.... :-(.

I am little concerned about dear Teresa, I must send her a missive.

Diamond, I do not drink beer.... a wine will be just the ticket ;-).

Petunia, please take care of yourself, tis a long winter ahead of you... I shall send you a merino vest down the cyber hatch, so lovely and warm...

Toodle pip, time to cook dinner.. I have been in the garden this afternoon, doing the edges :-P..

Good evening Lesley dear, I fear that I am succumbing to the chill too.

Little Trickey Woo was a pain this morning. She would not 'do her business' in a hurry and I got chilled again! I think a Pamper may be in order for her nibs. She does not like the cold, and she has a fur coat too! Tutty tut!

I did meet dear Susan when she was here with her gentleman walker. We met in the Square dedicated to our illustrious sailor in the Trafalgar Wars.

I think she was surprised how sprightly I was for 93 years old. Fish oil dears, fish oil!

Off to sit by the fire, and burn my shins.

Good evening dear Susan, it is lovely to see you here.

How is your dear Mama? It must be very hard for her. I send her my love and good wishes.

I saw my first You Know What tree in the window of a house this evening! Honestly, I am amazed that anyone would want a tree up so early. But each to their own!

My sniffle is better, but I still have a cough. I am sucking Fisherman's Friends furiously.

I would love to see you again dear, beit next June or earlier. If we can all arrange it, it would be lovely.

Children grow dear, just like Topsy. You are not getting older dear, it is just them.

Very cold here, we may even have a snow flurry or two. Oh joy!

Keep warm everyone. I am knitting nose cosies for you all.

Good evening Ladies,

Today I accompanied my Fruit on a job as I didn't want her driving so far alone. We have had a return trip of 517 km's - three hours drive each way.... Wait for it - her job lasted six minutes :-D :-D.

The upside is we managed a little retail therapy as well. Every cloud has a silver lining ;-). I am a happy bunny as I managed to find a decoration for my 'you know what tree'..... It is in memory of my Dad, it is a British S...a. My 'you know what tree' only has S...a's on it. I shall hang it with much love <3.

We have rain today, the first in ages. Must say I didn't like driving in it. My garden will be overjoyed I am sure.

Sorry to hear you have the sniffles again Petunia, what a nuisance. A hot lemon toddy perhaps ??.

It is looking quite likely that I will be in your neck of the woods next June. I think we hit London town around the 20th... I know it is holiday season for you all, if a meet is possible I shall be very happy.

I hope things are all well with you and yours??. All is well here, my male fruit is turning 30 on Dec 12th :-D, wherever the years have gone ,I don't know... We are to host a 'soiree' to celebrate...

Good afternoon Ladies. How lovely to see you.

Dear Susan, I am more than pleased to see you posting with us again. I hope you and your family are taking things slowly, one day at a time. Tis very hard dear, but it will get better, and your heart will not be so heavy one day. Love to you all.

Lesley dear, see I was right dear, that new picture of you is the spit of said lady I was referring to. You do look lovely dear. Should you be sitting there without your vest dear? I suppose you know best, but you will catch your death of cold!

Teresa must be toiling away, and nagging her fruits in rotation! Tis very hard when it is exam time. One alternates between nagging and encouraging..............then of course there is always bribing! Tutty tut.

It would be lovely to meet next year gels. If dear Susan comes to our shores, I am sure we can arrange something. Dear Cherry will be tickety-boo by then too. I will be fun. Hopefully it will be warmer then too.

There is a chill wind around Motie Towers. The wind is whistling up the Hill, and under the rafters. I think we will move into the Parlour tonight and keep that warm.

Mrs Berry and dear little Holly have been toiling over a huge crock-pot all day, and have made a mountain of beef casserole. We will have some tonight, freeze some, and send some down the hatch to you all. I do so love to have something hot inside me when the temperature drops!

Morning Ladies,

Petunia, I hope you had a lovely day celebrating - again.... You must be 'over' birthdays by now? ;-).

Lesley, I don't know the product your OG has bought for you?. What is it supposed to do?.

I am feasting on berries, we have strawberries, blueberries and boysenberries. Delicious :-). I have decided to eat bircher muesli for my breakfast, it is full of some sort of seed. If I start tweeting and growing feathers, you will understand. There is no heart tick on the cereal box... too bad.

My fruit and her husband have taken a huge plunge into the world of business... SIL has bought into the job he manages.

I am off to visit my Mama on the weekend. She, my brother and I may be winging our way to your shores next year. :-). Perhaps we can meet for 'tea'.

The sun is out again this morning. It does lift one's spirits.

Have a lovely evening.

Lesley dear, I have seen the advert for such a liquid. Tell me dear, if you turn into Isabella Rossellini as in Death Becomes Her. Would you feel insulted? No? I thought not.

Good evening dear Ladies,

Much love and hugs to dear Upsidedown Susan. She is in our thoughts. <3 <3 <3

Now Teresa dear, you will not get a ticket for love nor money, or any other commodity you deal in. Brace yourself dear, you will just have to hope the event is televised.

Should you however, manage to bump into Sir Reg, whilst queuing in the local Coffe Bar waiting for a frothy coffee, then of course you should curtsey deeply, and compliment him on his attire. Never, never look more skyward than his glasses, for fear of offending!

I cannot say I envy you standing on touchlines in the cold dear, my chilblains would not stand it! Thank goodness I now have on my Liberty Bodice AND my stays, so my back is well insulated!

I too saw the bacon marshallows on the tv, and I must admit I did shudder! However, might I venture to ask................what has that nice Mr Adams done to his hair?

Puzzling, always puzzling

Auntie your festivities sound very jolly. I have just been watching a gent on the one show devouring bacon marshmallows. That bloke Jay will eat almost anything. I'm sure if you had mallows Auntie they would be all pink and fluffy :-D

Now I do have a pressing matter of etiquette Auntie dear and you are the only one I know who may offer words of wisdom and advice. Lesley may also be in need of these pearls of wisdom as well for she may find herself in the same situation.

We have a Knight visiting our end of the A12 with his beat combo in the Summer. He is orf to play at the Devils football ground, music dear not football, do keep up. Tutty tut tut. Any way dear, what does one do if one bumps into Sir Reg of Elton, he could pop in the newly refurbished rather naice department store for a bit of shopping. He may want to visit the beauty spots or see where the booze bus or Bouncers frequent. Twas on TV the other night dear. :-S :-S :-S

What I am trying to say dear, is what do we do if we should bump into him, do we curtsy, doff our sunhats or wave our lace hankies. I really am all of a two and six.

Yours wondering how on earth a gig ticket could cost 90 quid

Dear Ladies, how are we all? Well I hope!

Well Halloween went, and so did Bonfire Night. We no longer have organised displays, due to Health and Safety, so we went to the Orphanage, and got all the little waifs and strays snugly bundled into their coats, and had our own display in the Grounds. What a lovely time we had.

We had a bonfire, suitably ringed with wooden railings, so stop the darlings falling in, lots of sausages, jacket potatoes, and lashings of ginger pop.

Pat-trish-aaaaah did the fireworks, along with the gardener, and it was all, pish, bang, wallop. Lots of lovely colours, and plenty of sparklers.

All the little angels went to bed happy and excited. Thank goodness I did not have to get them off to sleep, the state they were in! Our duty done, we returned home and lets off a few roman candles in our own garden. I do so love a firework or two.

Teresa dear, good luck with the hay levels, it is always a testing time. No pun intended. Lesley, I am pleased little E is improving. We do fret ourselves over little blemishes, but more often than not, they disappear on their own.

Much love to dear Upsidedown Susan, I hope all is well in her neck of the woods.

You are naughty Auntie, I have a vision of dear Pat rish aaaa and the face pack :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

We missed the winds and gales last week. We were staying in Sherwood Forest with just a hint of a breeze. The weather was very kind to us. We were a little bah humbug with Halloween. Our camp site was a haven to all things ghostly :-S All the caravans were more bedecked than Blackpool with its illuminations. The site wardens hold a yearly competition for the best decked caravan and best dressed children. I did not realise that the sites joined in with all the fun. If I had known I would have bought our witchy cauldron and some goodies to put in it. I did manage to offload some chocolate mini rolls to the children next door when I went out to do the recycling :-D We managed to cover a fare old few miles from our neck of the woods. We went to Skeggy, somewhere Auntie where we had never been before. We went to Doncaster to a very nice shopping place and also to Hardwick hall. The home of dear Bess who I believe was a mate of good Queen Bess. It was a most impressive house, both the old and new ones.

Are you preparing for the Christmas festivities yet? I have been wandering looing for inspiration. If you find some send it this way.

Now the newest news is we have the wanderer returning soon. FTE has decided that promotion needs a bit of a hand in the present job, so the Fruit is to return at the end of the month after nearly 14 months of visiting the four flung corners of the globe. Job hunting and places of education are on the horizon ;-)

FTY has chosen the hay level subjects depending on results. FTY is hoping Mr Gove does not change the goal posts again. The younger fruits year group has been disrupted to say the least in the last couple of years but there is another story!

Now I understand a Motown gal is watching Brucie and the dancing. I'm confused Auntie, why are the good dancers voted orf and the not so good kept on :-S :-S :-S
Is it the same as the hex factor and the ice dancing.

Those lovely boys Dec and Ant are returning soon. Of I do love the jungle and it makes us howl with laughter in a most un lady and gentleman like way. I have to recorded it for FTE ;-) It was sooo funny last year with poor Helen and I loved dear Shaun Ryder and Nigel Havers a couple of years back.

Well I will wiz orf now to do a bit of pottering around the threads.

Hugs to Susan and ~~~~~ to Lesley

Tootle pip for now

Good evening Ladies, how are we all? Good!

Oh dear, what a laugh we had last night! We decided against out better judgement to put a lit pumpkin on the top step of the entrance just so if some little tyke should decide to venture into our domain, they would not lose their footing and sue us!

As you know dears, we are not directly on the street, and we have a small drive. Nothing fancy, just enough for half a dozen cars, and the tuk tuk! It was so lovely when George used to visit us, and also Georgianna, Octavia, Lavinia and their families. But I digress.

We sat in the parlour and waited, as you know, the parlour overlooks the drive. We have very heavy curtains in the parlour, and it makes the windows draughtproof and it disguises the light from the chandelier.

Soon after we were settled, we could hear giggling and chattering coming up the drive. We peeped from behind the curtains, and could see about a dozen assorted children and a teenage gel walking up to the steps. They were small children dressed in assorted vulgar costumes from supermarkets. I did see the costumes advertised in the newspapers, apparently they were ghosts, pumpkins and ghouls. We waited until they were about to ring the door bell, and I sent Pat-trish-aaaah to open the door to them.

Now, as you know dears, Pat-trish-aaaaah is not the prettiest ornament in the box, even if she is family, but she had decided to give herself a mud-pack in the hopes of making herself a little more attractive.

Do you know dears, I think the children could have given that nice Mr Bolt a run for his money, excuse the pun, but I have never seen children move so fast! We did try and get them to come back and take the sweeties, but they were having none of it! In fact I think one of them may have had a little accident as there was liquid running down the steps. I hope that it was that cokey cola stuff!

I shall be occupied with good works over the weekend dears, so I wish you all a peaceful and joyous one dears!
