We certainly do not want you looking like a young trout Petunia, (whispers to the gals, " an old one is bad enough").. I salute you in your floral efforts, I bet your window boxes look a picture. I love Lobelia, it is so delicate and can be relied upon to give a good show. I have had mixed results with Petunia's ( titters..).

I have made a pact with myself re my gardens. This coming Spring, they won't know what has hit them. A long overdue bit of love and attention. I will need to get in a truck load of new topsoil, and spread it about, by myself I might add :-(. I am also going to invest in a Bakashi system. Have you seen them?. Basically it is a double bucket, scraps go into the top bucket with a handful of enhancer, the resulting 'juice' drips into bottom bucket. Hey presto you have fertiliser at the ready. One needs a tiny measure to add to a watering can. I expect to see my plants reaching for the heavens :-). Of course, there is that old saying, best laid plans :-D.

Petunia, a very near neighbour has a Harvey, boy does it make a racket.... I think the man reached a mid life crisis as the machine is a recent addition to the neighbourhood... Once on holiday, we rented little scooters, my OH purchased a tshirt with 'Hardly Dav$&@*n' on it and wore it with pride ;-).

Oooh Lesley, I hope your OH doesn't know you got his birthday mixed up :-S. He might not be amused. Are you planning to do anything special on the day?.

My garden looks like an episode of the Frozen Planet this morning. A heavy heavy frost indeed. I have just defrosted a bit of old bread to feed my feathered visitors. They are only the common old sparrow and thrush. Has your birdie has avoided the catapult Petunia? :-D. Is there not a puddy tat you could shove up the tree?. Not very PC, but needs must !!.

Teresa must be a busy gal. I wonder if her place of toil has air con or does it keep the radiators on all the time, perish the thought.... ~~~~~ to Teresa.

The sun is on the up, the birds are squabbling over the bread, a starling has arrived to take charge, awful things. The thrush's don't attack the bread, they lay in wait for dropped crumbs. Clever or lazy?

Right, time to get a move on..

Have a pleasant evening ladies and peeps.

tatty bye,

Susan

Dear Ladies,

As much as I love this weather, my flowers are blooming merrily. My petunias are a blood red, and they are cascading down over the windowbox, and mingling with the lobelia. I am so patriotic with the red, white and blue.

We are still waiting on tenterhooks for the arrival of the Royal Babbie. As you know I have a private hotline to the Birthing Suite. So.................as soon as the balloon goes up, I shall know, and then I can let YOU know.

Happy Birthday on the 22nd to Lesley's OH. Happy Returns of the Day dear. I shall not ask how old, because you cannot possibly be as old as me!

I do love craft shops dear. There is a well known just opposite the Harlequin Centre in Watford. I can wander around there to my hearts content. Unfortunately Pat-trish-aaah does not relish the thought of the ride out there, but as we are now motorised, I do not know what the heck she is moaning about.

Just before we get to the Hobby shop, there is a motorcycle shop in the middle of a roundabout, a certain Harvey Doddison. Pat-trish-aaaah really loves this shop, and muses about sitting upon such a large engine. I have told her NO, as it will not do her bones any good. Anything else either!!!! She cannot be made of jelly dears, cos it don't wobble that way!

I have drawn the blinds in the bedroom as it is south-facing, it makes for some relief in the night time.

One has noticed a bird sitting in the tree outside my bedroom window dears. A sweet little thing that seems to sing most of the night. I wonder what it is called? I know what I call it, but I am sure that it is not its ornithological name!!!!

Looking for a catapult.

A Very Hot Good Evening Ladies and 240 Onlookers.

Follow that rainbow and your dreams will come true .......................................I seem to remember hearing these lyrics blasting out of one of our fruits boudoirs or was it one of their tips:-D

Sorry to hear about your experience with the wave Susan :-( ....................................I too am a bathtub lover :-D so much so that when I'm up to my neck in bubbles I am told strange sounds can be heard coming from the bathroom............................................... .........................ZZz ZZZzzzzz ZZz :-D :-D :-D

My Dear Auntie Petunia I implore you to never consider poisoning yourself ........... ....................................Botulism can be fatal :-( do as I do and pull your hair up VERY tightly and tie it in a knot on the top of head :-D

Teresa I have also been told about the Lass who is on Lord Sugar TV program :-) ............................................I'm not sure if it is open yet, but I am led to believe that you can or shortly will be able to stop off for a cup of tea and a wander around a craft centre on your way to paid toil .................................. you may often have to stop there anyway as the new centre is to open beside the traffic lights before the dreaded hill:-D

Before I go I must apologise to my MOG for getting his birth date wrong ................. .............................. it is the 22nd, not the 21st as I previously said :-S

MotownGal Report 13 Jul 2013 17:58

Dear Susan,

Did you not know that you can NEVER take a photo of a rainbow? It is a magical thing, and if you do record it, you will see the end that has the pot of gold at it, and that will NEVER do. Tutty tut. [mind you, if you do manage it, let me know!]

There has been no breeze at all today dears, and there is a smog hanging over London Town, I ventured no further than town, and then back home again. I did not want to over exert Pat-trish-aaaaah on the tuk-tuk, she has a personal problem as it is, and I did not want her to glow all over the place!

You are right dear, I am too old for gay abandon, I left that on the hanger in the hallway, along with my lost youth. If I ever want to pick up the mantle again, I will have to be filled and botoxed like some of our dear actresses. I cannot be asked to go through all that performance to look like a trout. Stop tittering at the back!

Hope your Sunday bodes well dears, and see you next week.

Susan-nz Report 12 Jul 2013 22:11

Thank you Petunia for the lovely bit of heat... I wasn't sure if I was having a hot flush or not :-D..

I bet your tootsies are most relieved to have cooled down. Though I am a tad surprised you have the paddling pool inside.?. Surely if the pool was out in the garden, you could splash about with gay abandon, though being a lady and a posh one to boot, perhaps gay abandon is a no no.?.

I am not posh, sometimes I think I have a docker inside me :-S.. I have been a cranky pants all week, don't ask me why. Today is Saturday so perhaps a little ho*^$@^&k, oh alright, a lot of it will work off my crankiness. I do find accents, dialects and the like very interesting. Of course , I don't have an accent, well not to my ears anyway ;-). As previously mentioned, OH and I watch a few episodes of CDWM, the most recent was a bunch of lovely geordies. That has to be one of my favourite accents, possibly due to watching many a tv show as a youngster. I won't name the obvious few.

Lesley, I can't swim to save myself but my OH and both fruits are good swimmers, all swam for the local club. I love to snorkel and float like a beached whale, but then I am in control of that. Many many moons ago, while at the beach with my family, a freakish huge wave came ashore. All the mama's and papa's there that day, were rushing to grab all the little children they could. I remember being tumbled by the wave. I think that was the beginning of my fears... Now a bathtub,, that's a different matter all together ;-). Glad your grandbaby loves to splash about. No doubt her joy is infectious :-).

Yesterday while driving to work, I spied a rainbow. A full one to boot. I drove towards it all the way to my toil. It was so lovely, it did brighten my mood. I tried to take a photo of it on my telephone, not very successfully. :-P.

My chores will wait no longer, the time has come... Au revoir ladies, enjoy your weekend, keep cool and carry on :-D

Hello dear Ladies, what a day..................again!

This friend of mine who is becoming a Ruby is a strange gel. She is quite timid but she has delusion of grandeur! She is strictly working class, but tends to put on a posh voice when answering the telephone. One simply is, or is not, posh, and one cannot buy breeding! As I have hired help and my own house, I consider myself to have good breeding, and therefore I am posh. There, I have said it, it cannot be unsaid now! #Preens#

I believe the 21st is a Sunday dears, so hopefully no-one will be at paid toil, Sunday is a day of rest [some hopes] if not that, at least the day when a nice bit of grub can be eaten.

Please be careful in the sun over the weekend dears, it is going to be Hot, Hot, Hot. May I recommend a lavender spritz over your face and wrists gels, it is cooling and calming.

I am opening the cyber hatch and pointing it downwards to let dear Susan have a bit of our warmth. I am fanning it southerly, I hope it gets there all in one piece.

Take care ladies

Good evening Ladies,

Great fun today. I was inspired by the comment from dear Susan about the paddling pool, and I sent Pat-trish-aaaah orft on the tuk-tuk to Toys-4-Uz and she got one. It has a pretty pattern of little piggies on it. Apparently one is called Salt, or Pepper, or Mustard, or something like.

I got Pat-trish-aaaah to put plenty of towels on the carpet in the parlour, as the carpet was VERY expensive! and she placed the pool upon the towels, and then filled it.

All I can say is......................Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.....................the relief for my warm tootsies had to be believed. Such a refreshing change to paddle! I may add a few ounces of salt, and install a fan to replicate the seaside. Such bliss.

I am pleased the offending man has been removed.

Dear Teresa, the Ruby people married the same day as you. The morning was wet and dull, but by the time they married at 4pm the sun was shining on the righteous.

I do not watch Sirallan either. He is too abrasive for my sensitive nature!

Hello to Lesley when she comes to see us anon.

Ladies much excitement. I do not watch Lord Sugar and his apprentice folk but it has come to my attention that a dear Gal who is on the show this year worked with me at my place of paid employment for her secondment. She was truly lovely, a very kind and caring Gal and I hope she wins.

Morning girls,

Could I have some of your 'hot' please. We have another frost this morning and it is very cold :-(. Just enough to warm me cockles please...

Petunia, yes we are off to somewhere nice, warm too. A wee gem in the Pacific. Our favourite haunt for a chilled out holiday :-).
Teresa, too many sleeps to count yet :-S.

Ruby anniversary is quite a milestone for your friends Petunia. Can the lady expect a ruby?. Do people still adhere to the old paper, silver, diamond etc?. Not sure that they do. Though if jewellery is involved, I could be persuaded.. We are 34 years this November :-D, probably plastic or something just as useless.. My OH is not the best at buying gifts, who else amongst us has received a hose and reel for their birthday ???. Who said romance is dead ;-).

~~~~~ to Lesley, are you keeping cool and calm?. How is your little grandbaby doing?. Have you got a paddling pool or is she too little for such malarkey yet. You could always use the pool :-D, one limb at a time perhaps.
Ladies, you will be pleased to hear the man my fruit complained about has been challenged on his actions and 'couldn't remember' what he might have said and done. HHhmmpp. Upshot, his services won't be required again... Yessss !!
Time to create a sandwich masterpiece, as if :-D.
Ladies it would be telling wouldn't it, if I were to spill the bean as to the birth-day. Just rest assured that I will be there, standing outside the room keeping guard.
Dear little Wills is back at work by the time, and if he cannot be there, dear Kate has her Mama to help her huff and puff. I wonder if she will be 'too posh to push'?
I know it is your Wedding Anniversary dear Teresa on the 21st. I know of another couple who will be celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary on the same day.
I agree about the salad, my nose is starting to twitch.
Yes, as you say dear Upsidedown Susan, Andy won the tennis. I must say I am not a bit fan of his, he always seems a bit grumpy. Mr Cameron has said he must be knighted too. I don't know about that either. Still it is not up to me, is it?
You must be looking forward to your album coming dear. It will be a permanent reminder of hat glorious day. These books cost an arm and a leg do they not.
Where are you going on your jolly holidays dear? Somewhere nice?
Off to make a cold compress for my fevered brow.
Morning Ladies,
We were blessed with a beautiful sunny weekend, what a treat. It was so much warmer where we were than where we live.. A pleasant change indeed.
You seem to be enjoying some lovely summer weather at the moment, mozzies aside... It is very cool this morning, in fact a heavy frost... It will warm up later as the rain is due... oh joy.
Well done Mr Murray, a right boost for all the tennis lovers. I am not partial to tennis I must admit but am pleased for Andy.
Ooh, another baby to be born to the royals early next year. :-). This one without a title ;-). I wonder how far away the titled one is?. It's mama is probably thinking the very same.. What are you feeling in your waters girls, boy or girl?..
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a wedding album in the post. We chose our own pics and layout through an online company.. I hope it is as nice as I am expecting.. Hard to believe the day was over three months ago. Where does the time go I ask.
I am on the countdown re our little holiday.. only 10 weeks to go :-S. hopefully they will fly by..
Right , time to make lunch and then get myself ready for work..
I have been bit on the forehead :-S Twice on the thigh and lower leg as well.Tutty tut tut.
Its a little hot but hay ho its beats freezing with no heating, You remember the saga of the boiler in the winter doncha gals?
I am glad all is sorted with your Fruit Susan :-)
Tm Nephew Fruit had a loverly Prom. My Sister and I went to see the arrivals :-D The modes of transport were inventive to say the least. A lot of camper vans were evident, a motorbike, a large truckers truck, various cars and an 1950s bus :-D I did not see the stretch limos of yesteryear or asmuch fake tan either. The gals looked very naice in their frocks and the boys dapper in suits. The evening had a decidedly vintage look about it and very nice too I say :-D
Susan we did venture out to Melford Hall to another classic car do today. It was a little warm but we did find a bit of shade.
I do not like tennis, its up there with the devils football. I much prefer athletics and stuff like that. I must congratulate Mr Andy for his win and Auntie did I see you presenting him with something? oh it was you, I wondered why he smiled so cheerfully ;-)
Well orff now to watch the White Queen. She is a bit wishy washy compared to the book but its worth a watch.
Toodle pip for now
Yes dears, it has been a little warm of late. I have been fair glowing myself! Remember a lady never, every perspires!!!!! Not much anyway.!!!
Remember to keep your ostrich feather curly dear Lesley, but holding it over the steam from the kettle. I like to advise you all how to keep yourself curly.
Lavender is very soothing dear, and it refreshes the soul. I have a huge patch in my garden. As I walk amongst it, my skirt brushes the flowers, and a beautiful aroma fills the air.
I fear I may have taken a little too much sun yesterday, as I have a few freckles starting appear on my nose. Pass the lemon juice please. One must have a pallid complexion dears, in keeping with Ms Kidman. By the by, is her hairline getting higher? Or it is the result of b@t@x?
I hope you have a peaceful night dears, the heat does tend to send some people dooolally!
So good of you to be concerned about my leg apparel! Now, let me explain..............I am wearing a shift and a chemise. The shift is in a silk, and it is worn under the chemise. The chemise is longer, and, as in the picture, I am lying semi prone, the chemise is covering my legs. It is in a diaph, a diaf, a dieph...............semi transparent material. On cannot stand rod straight as if one is to be shot................so I arranged myself seductively to be photographed. I hope that explains all. Tutty tut.
I think when we DO meet dear Teresa and Lesley, we should keep our arrangements to emails. We do not want everyone to see us, it would be too much excitement in one day!!!!
I am glad your fruit has put steps in motion dear Susan. Some of the male species are a nuisance......................even to themselves. Have a lovely time at the beach too dear. Don't forget, slip, slap, slop!!!!
