Ladies, HE has arrived!

Well I must say he has made an impression already.

Pat-trish-aaaah arrived back at Motie Towers with HIM yesterday afternoon. He strode into the hallway like a young Tyrone Power. All black hair, pomade, white teeth and flashing eyes. I must say, he does cut a dash.

Pat-trish-aaaah was all of a quiver, and blushing and flapping like a schoolgirl.

He is charm itself, and has perfect manners. He came down to dinner last night with presents for us all. Of course I asked the gels, Octavia, Georgianna and their gentleman walkers to give us moral support. But there was no need, he was as honest and open as if he had known us for years.

He took no offence at being asked to sleep in the West Wing, and even took Trickey Woo for her late night walk. I am warming to the man.

Lesley dear, you should have knocked harder, we were cleaning the house from top to bottom. You probably came when all the hoovers were on.

Do give us the Countdown Susan, we are all on tenterhooks.

Hoping all will go well with Patricia and Juan................

My Dear Auntie Petunia rest assured I did call at The Towers and it was evident from the twitching curtains at least one person in residence.

Teresa what a lovely place to escape from all the hustle and bustle...my late MIL was sent to school there...it was said the fresh air was good for asthma sufferers, many years later I believe it has an international renowned asthma service of excellence.

I am counting down the days with you Susan...not long now...pitter patter, pitter patter...you must all be so excited.

Good afternoon Ladies.

How lovely to see you back Teresa dear, did you have a lovely time at Vickie's favourite domain? Did you see the bathing huts, and take a ride on the donkey cart? I hope the sun shone on you all.

Now, I have had a hectic time supervising the cleaning of Motie Towers, Pat-trish-aaaaah wanted the whole house 'bottoming' and as you know, I do not sullie my own fair hands with housework, I got Mrs Berry to cook up a storm, and her brood to clean the house. I must say the smell from the kitchen, and the amount of dust the children disturbed, led to me retiring to the conservatory to attend my orchids.

I must say the house looks like a shiny new pin. Of course I recompence all of the little Berries. I treated them all to a day ticket each at the Haltom Towers, and even paid for the petrol for Mrs Berry to take them there. All the savouries and such like are in the freezer, and we await the arrival of Mr Wonderful!

Pat-trish-aaaah is all of dither, and she has been in contact with Conchita [my phone bill!] to take advice on make-up, what clothes to wear, and general girly chit-chat. How long does that take? Not two hours I'll be bound! So.....................we await the arrival tonight.

Pat-trish-aaaah has just set off for the airport. She decided against the tuk-tuk, as she does not want to be 'hot and sweaty for his arrival', and has taken a taxi to await His Nibs to come striding through Arrivals.

Dear Lord, I hope this one does not end in tears!

I think Pat-trish-aaaah has been watching too many Bette Davis movies, but time will tell.....................

ps. ~~~~~~~~ to dear Lesley [why did you not come to call?] and dear Susan.

Tamborines? Brass bands? Tutty tut. Whatever next?

No, dears, I shall be installing a piece of piano wire across the riser in the stairs, and if someone decides to wander in the night, then it will be bump, bump in the night! I did not watch Hercule Poirot for nothing, dont you know.

I shall be entertaining tonight, but will be back tomorrow. I shall then fill you in on The Visit.

Here I am Ladies :-D :-D :-D :-D

I have been at paid toil and covering as well but a day off today and out for lunch with fellow toilers wot lunch ;-)

The garden has had a bit of a makeover, my dear gentleman walker has been a toiling and roped FTY in as his labourer. FTY has enjoyed the cement mixing, clearing and making. The post GCSE excitment of sitting on the devils x box wore a little thin even for the fruit ;-)

We have many social occasions of late including a very naice wedding. We all behaved very well, it must of been the sun which caused some people to feel a little delicate the next day. Tutttttty tut tut.

goodness I can feel a bit of a saga looming on the horizon. Now then Auntie, a tambourine is maybe a little too restrained when it comes to Pat rish aaaah. Maybe a full brass band instead :-D :-D :-D I can also pop to the the Towers and give her #thetalk#.

Goodness me,

It has been quite a few days since I popped into the parlour Petunia dear....

Thank you for asking, my Mama is quite well. :-).

I quite agree re the West Wing... Do you think you could leave, say, a Tambourine on the stairs when you retire for the evening?. :-D... I do hope Juan Two has a strong heart.... You could say you had been looking everywhere for your tambourine, fancy it being on the stairwell.... ;-). We don't want any little Patrishaaa's before there is a band of gold do we... Or do I have the wrong end of the stick :-D.. I have no wish to cast nasturtiums on Patty...

Lesley, thanks for the p.m,.... :-D :-D :-D......

Teresa, yoo hoo, where are you?.

The weeks are ticking by here Ladies, just over three to go.... I am still struggling to 'knit' (dirty word) a wee jacket .. I will finish it even if it drives me insane in the process... I should not have bothered buying the wool, pattern book, new needles :-D... One could say I got caught in a weak sentimental moment.. :-(.

I have been walking the pup most weekday afternoons, she loves it and I am trying to shift my holiday excesses. :-(. It should be easier now I have eaten every last duty free Toblerone in the house, I wish I had bought more.....

Today the sun shone but the wind chill factor was pretty awful. It does not seem to worry her in the furry coat. I do not done fur - does not shaving ones legs count I wonder.???? :-D..

Petunia, does Trickey Woo not wear an extra coat while gallivanting through the snow?. Lovely photo :-).

Time to finish cooking our evening meal.. No sign of OH yet so his meal may well go 'on a plate'.....

Have a lovely day,

Good evening dear Ladies.

I see we are still missing dear Teresa, but she must be ministering, as is her want!

Of course I can contribute to the Church dear Lesley, I shall ask Mrs Berry to pack up a few things tonight, and then Pat-trish-aaaaah can set off about 6am, to get them to you. I see no problem with that. And of course, I am VERY proud of you.

Dear Susan, how soon the weeks have flown since you graced our fair shores. I fear it was warmer here, than in your own backyard. How you must be getting back to the old routine by now. How is your dear Mama? Well I hope.

Well dears, I haved been very busy of late. Apparently the letter that Pat-trish-aaah received was from Juan. I just happened upon it, whilst using my duplicate keys to get into Pat-trish-aaaah's flat. I must admit, she hid it well, it was as if she wanted no-one to see it. Tutty tut. I was in very poor English, but I got the gist of it all.

Juan is coming over to England later this month, and has a very special question to ask Pat-trish-aaaah. I just hope it is not 'Do you have change for the meter?'.

I have been in contact with her Papa, Juan One, and he confirms that Juan Two has honourable intentions, so I thank the Lord for that. That girl has had enough disappointment in her life. One only has to look at her face to see that!

I shall be very pleased to see this young man, and I shall put him in the West Wing. I want no nocturnal wandering in the middle of the night!

I hope you are all well dear, so Toodle for now.................

Good upside down evening from a very chilly down under,

Juan two, I got it... ;-). Pat-trish- aaa will be all of a dither until her beau arrives. Oh to be a fly on the wall... Just a teeny one you understand.

I hope you all sang with great gusto on Sunday Petunia.?, The old walls must have been fair creaking with reverberation.... Maybe a hard hat under the pew is called for.?

Teresa, thanks for the cyber pics. Very dapper blokes indeed. The young gal looked very 'done up'. I didn't have such soirees to attend during my school years... Apparently the same was held here and a good time was had by all. the after party left a lot to be desired.. :-|..

Lesley, how does your garden grow?. Are you still having a lovely Summer.? I did hear there has been quite a lot of rain passing through. All to help things grow, Mama and I were very impressed with the 'green-ness ' we saw all around us. I am sure it is a different green to here.. Such pretty countryside.

Parts of the country are to be blasted by high wind and heavy rain in the next few hours. I think we are off the radar but who knows, Mother nature can be a beast.
People in the far north have already lost power. Tis only 5.40pm.

I shall hibernate inside overnight and see what tomorrow brings. Have a lovely day ladies. I hope the sun is shining down on you all.

Goooood evening dear Ladies.

Susan dear, I am so pleased you are back in Upsidedown Land, and back to your Upsidedown time. And your dear Mama too.

It was a pleasure to see your Mama, and I hope you and she are flying the flag, if your know what I mean!

The weekend flew by, and Church once again was a revelation. Our new organist is a proper virtuoso. She plays us in, excells at the Hymns, and plays us out again.

Our New Pat-trish-aaaah is still scrubbed up very well. There has been several complimentary comments by the Church Ladies, and they are all very pleased for her to have found herself a beau. Especially at her time of life, the sands of time and running fast for all of us, but most of hers in the egg-timer are sinking to the bottom.

News today................another letter arrived with a Spanish stamp on it, and Pat-trish-aaaah pounced on it as it plopped onto the mat. She took it upstairs and let out an excited squeal. By jolly, tis a long time since I have had anything to squeal at, But she thumped back down the stairs, and announced that her beau Juan is to visit very soon.

Now I find that very confusing, for her Papa is also called Juan. So her beau will now be called Juan Two [think about it!]

I hope that dear Lesley and Teresa are well, and we will be back to our merry throng chewing the fat very soon.

I'M Backkkkk,

Phew, Ladies I have been bogged down with work all this week..... I did literally shed tears on Monday. I shall blame jet lag and 'I don't wan't to be here'..... It has been a long and tedious week but I have risen above the mess and reign supreme again. Well , in my office anyway.... :-(.

My Mama wishes me to thank you all so very much for a lovely afternoon and for her gifts. She was quite overcome and enjoyed herself immensely.
OH & I shall visit her on Sunday. I have spoken to her today and she seems back in the swing of our time zone. :-).

Petunia, an 'attachment' for Patty.... well, well ,well. I wait with baited breath . When has true love ever ran smoothly.? ;-).

This past week has been miserably cold and wet. Lesley, chuck us the Ark when you have finished with it please. Or maybe you could swing by and pick me up. !!
Honestly, rain, hail, frost - I much prefer Summer. Today the sun shone but I was stuck at my desk for the best part of the day. Needs must dears...

My fruit is blooming, only five weeks to go now. She was most pleased with my shopping efforts... The pup was in disgrace one day this week. She was left alone and 'helped herself' to a baby blanket and promptly chewed it to bits. :-D
She lived to see another day ;-).

I had best go and rescue our dinner from the oven, it smells 'done'.

Have a lovely weekend. Teresa, any pics of the fruits coming through cyber land.?

Good evening Ladies, I am sure that dear Susan and her Mama are back in their routines now, after their adventure. They had a jolly time, I am sure.

Indeed gels, Pat-trish-aaaaah is back home with me. She looks far more polished now. That Conchita is a good influence on her I think. She is sleeker and more stylish in her dress. Why, when we ventured to Church on Sunday, she got more than a few admiring glances.

I have found out who sent the letter dears, tis a young man Pat-trish-aaaah met when she was on her extended holiday in Spain. I have contacted Pat-trish-aaaah's Papa, and he assures me he is a suitable young man. He is not after MY money. They formed an 'attachment' whilst over there, but have decided to take their time with their romance.

No Teresa dear, tis not the same Conchita. She was in London on Saturday, singing at the Pride March. I did not see her, as I was in TOWIE county. I ventured to the Rom Ford. It was lovely until I set foot off the train, [first class of course] and it fairly rained all the way to Spain. It bounced back up off the ground. I was most impressed!

I must say it was LOVELY to see you all Ladies, and we have photographic evidence of our meeting. It shows how young and lovely we all are!

For all our secret peepers out there, we can announce it at last!

Susan and her dear Mama were our visiting dignitaries, and we all took afternoon tea together. It was jolly good fun too!

Now, good afternoon dears. I am sorry you are cold dear Susan, you have been spoilt with our sunshine..................until Today!

The Heavens opened, and we have had a monsoon. What a to do!

As I intimated the other day, Pat-trish-aaaah is back from her holidays with her family. She has returned golden brown, and with her hair sleeked back into a bun. I must say she has lost a bit of weight, and is wearing cotton dresses, as apposed to her alpaca pinafore dresses. She is definitely taken notice of someone. Maybe her cousin on her father's side. The cousin is a pretty little thing called Conchita. She has the look of that naice actress Penelope Cruz about her, and she has flair. I do hope some of it has rubbed off on Pat-trish-aaaaah. We have had allsorts with her over the last couple of years. Punk, Essex, and even Heavy Metal. For a woman of her age she is very easily led!

But, dare I say it, she is almost ladylike, and therefore it seems a great shame that when we went out on the tuk-tuk this morning, she got soaked. A drowned rat came to mind, but of course I did not say so.

However, she seems to have a more defined idea of what she should look like, and came straight home, changed her dress, and dried her hair and fashioned it into a bun again. I am most impressed! I shall be almost ready to show her off at church tomorrow, she looks quite respectable!

I think she is keeping her own Counsel for the time being, and a letter bearing a Spanish stamp arrived this morning. Does this mean that I may be marrying her off at last? One can only hope.
