Isn't that Manston? My Dad said that it had such a long runway that Concord could land in it if needed. ;-) |

I reckon you have killed this thread, Lynda. Sure Sealyham was trying to compete for hits with the legendary Bread Bins thread. :-D |

Had a colleague who lived there. Remember it being rather nice and a long way from his roots, which were Peckham. Seemed to be quite a few London retiress living down there. |

The tide comes right up to the sea walls at the beach at Birchington.....which is a fair way from the village centre. Its more upmarket than Margate :-) |

Wonder if Lynda found out why this was posted. Intrigued. Got lots of valuable hits, but nowhere near as popular as Rose's bread bin thread - which has taken a dull subject (metal or wooden bread bin?) and turned into a collaborative art form :-D |

Choccy Now Dante Gartiel Rosetti is of great interest to me and I shall make a note One of mine (gt gt gt aunt) was married to a pre-Raphaelite minor poet who was best friends of the Rosetti brothers. Not seen yet that he knew their sister, Christina. What a very gifted family. |
