point scoring? ? I called you a rail ? lol ... you could not even type your last reply without adding ANOTHER tale ... are you sure you want this thread to be about April and not just more about YOU and what YOU have done ?

JustJohn Report 2 Oct 2012 22:18

Lynda and aivlyS Leave it out please. Not really a thread to have a go and call someone a rail.

Most of the things I put on here I have done and seen. I have absolutely no reason to eil about any of it. Knighthoods and living in a castle are not true, of course.

I was thinking today of when my daughter was 2 (30 now) and we stayed in Holiday Inn in Plymouth. We were in a lift and we got out on ground floor. Little daughter was still in lift and lift door closed and it shot off to 7th floor.

Shouted at wife to stay at ground floor and I belted up to the 7th floor. Fortunately doors opened and there she was - crying her eyes out. But for 20 seconds, and 40 secs for wife, it was sheer panic. Many others will have had simialr experiences, I am sure.

This poor couple issued a statement through police a few minutes ago (see 5EXY's post). All out thoughts and prayers are with them and little April tonight, I feel sure.

Point scoring is fun - but not tonight :-(

Soham....lovely?.......Oh......Ok!

Suzanne

Suzanne Report 2 Oct 2012 22:14

Has i have already said,my daughter knows several members of little April"s family and is in contact with one of them over facebook.
I am not blaming anyone, but in this day and age you have to watch your children with an eagle eye, that part of mid wales is lovely and quiet, but so was Soham. :-(

Police say: we have recovered one vehicle which belongs to the individual in custody. Land rover discovery, left hand drive.

Next press conference will take place at 7.30am tomorrow morning.

The rights and wrongs of a 5 year old being out at 7 p.m. is surely a discussion for another day.

The rights and wrongs of a 3 year old out on their own at 9 p.m. is clear cut. It's a matter to be reported to the police.

they are now looking for a discovery type vehicle

Family statement:
"Last night our lives were shattered when our beautiful little girl April, who was playing with friends, was taken from us. We are devastated and our lives have stopped
Please, please, if you have our little girl, let her come home to us
This is such a small, close-knit community, and we plead with anyone who has any information, no matter how small they think it is to contact the police immediately. Please help us bring home our beautiful little girl," teh statement concludes

Exactly Susan, even a mention of why she was out at 7.p.m, or if anyone says they wouldn't let there children out at that time of night, shouldn't even be mentioned, it's irrelevant.

What's wanted is for her to be found safe and well.

Well who would of guessed that it would be you John that had come across a boy of 3 out at 9 at night ?... bit more dramatic than 5 year old out at 7 .... you must have all the T shirts eh?

I agree with you Guinevere & Susan10146857 well put both of you.

Latest News is...
The search for April Jones continues by torchlight as night shift police officers arrive at the River Dyfi, assisted by a helicopter which has thermal imaging cameras.

Who cares why she was out late....It is not for us to judge when we do not have the facts.

Bless her little heart...I hope she is Ok

Guinevere Report 2 Oct 2012 21:16

She was out playing because the family had just got back from a parents' evening at the school, according to the news. Her parents let her play with her friends while they got tea ready.

Have to agree with Rose about Machynlleth, a more friendly community I can't imagine - as has been shown by the turn out for the search.

I hope she's returned safely to her family.

I think that Why was April out that late? should be a question for another day perhaps. I for one don’t blame the parents or anyone for that matter, as different areas have different circumstances & different ways of life.

The thing at the moment is some person out there has abducted a 5 year old girl. We all fear for her safety & hope she is well & safe, that’s what we should be looking for at the moment. I do hope she is safe. My thoughts are for her & her family.

It’s good to see people from all walks of life getting together & doing what they can to help.

JustJohn Report 2 Oct 2012 20:55

It seems to me that the police and the family and many in Machynlleth knew straight away who had abducted little April.

And there was an attempted abduction nearby in Aberystwyth area last week :-0 :-(
