by a member who perhaps had another persona (who we either liked or hated) to reappear under a new persona with a mission to WUM.

Said current persona could then judge whether it's the poster or the posts which generate dislike.

Can't wait the for big reveal :-D :-D

Wish I had though of that game first :-(

I think you do our Rose, I am feeling very telepathic today. I very nearly used another word but I don't wish to cast aspersions.

In fact I shall have to write in a monosyllabic fashion from now on just in case someone thinks I am dropping large hints...which I won't be...cos I am clueless.

N.B. Disclaimer: any words or phrase I may use are in the literary context only and should not be interpreted in any other way.

~Lynda~ Report 7 Oct 2012 14:56

That's too complicated a question for me, said like that :-D

But if you mean do I ever think someone is/has come back on here under another name, yes I do, loads of times, and I often suss them out on the first or second post :-D

While I'm here, I also think that when some people come back, using the name they used before, they assume that we have forgotten what they were like and what they said when they were here before. They've even had memory loss, or think that we are as daft as they are, I reckon they're just daft, or words to that effect :-D

Absolutely agree with the latter part of Lynda's comment...the only bit of me still working effectively is my memory :-D

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 7 Oct 2012 15:19

I,m a bit lost here BUT have seen some WUM,s on here and sussed em out when they come back in different guises.

Personally have met some lovely people like Lynda and Auntie Jean, sadly missed, and Mildred and Grannie Annie, who I am related too way back.

Really cant see WHY there some WUMs have to be as they are but then i am on the ancestry trail and hopefully meeting nice folks on the way that are friends sometimes only online but still friends. maybe i am a bit naive??

supercrutch Report 7 Oct 2012 15:25

Shirley I guess it's how they get their kicks ;-)

I am hopeless at guessing who has made a comeback under a different name but it passes the time.

I have also met some lovely people from GR and have made, I hope, friends for life <3

Like you I also have fantastic memories of members we have lost.

Rambling Rose Report 7 Oct 2012 15:27

well I can tell you who it isn't 100% if that's any good?

But really I think that if being annoying and opinionated in a similar fashion to previous members is the sole criteria for judging whether someone has been here before...then maybe it's time to take a break and get some perspective, on whether it's entirely healthy to have to be suspicious all the time?

The Wums who used to be here have done us all a big dis-service that's for sure.

Oh Rose :-( how will I fill my long lonely days *weeps* and what shall I tell my single WUM brain cell that is quivering in anticipation of an electrical pulse?

Woe is me :-( ooops hang on....that's Susanwiv#s phrase...........

There's distraught I am boyo, isn't it?
