I agree with the mightly Suemaid, Ive said this for a long time about this chat board it reminds of the wrestling on a saturday afternoon in the 1970s, its like a raging war then come bedtime everyone pops off to bed, never what I have seen on here effect me that badly it keeps me awake at night....and believe me I have been in the centre of some bitter rows on here.

edited for some major spelling mistakes, and thats because I am typing with light on :-D

If I am jolly cross when I go to bed, I just think of you, Hayley, and I sleep like a baby :-D :-D And if I have to get out of bed half way through night, I think of somebody else (my doubles partner in a backwards sense) and go straight back to sleep.

It´s no worse than the "Tin Man" in Victoria Square in Birmingham except it´s a bit bigger.

Hi everyone

I am relatively new on here as you know and have enjoyed looking in on many threads had a good laugh and am really warmed by all your caring and the support you offer each other.

What I can't understand is some of the awful responses some posters write. Really hurtful and unwarranted. Maybe I am missing something that's happened over the years you have known each other or just the fact that some members get a real buzz from putting down others.

Why come on here to be nasty. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. How can one know how hurtful words affect another person.

Reading some of the recent posts I've been really shocked and I am certainly not naive about life and people in general.

Debates are great but some quickly kick off to school kids behaviour which spoils a good thread.

This has just been my opinion and after all there are so many unhappy goings on in the world as it is without a war of words on here

Anyway I am " H A P P Y " today unless some one has other ideas

:-D :-D <3 <3 to you all

There have been a few disagreements over the past few days but they've been relatively mind and restrained. Or maybe that's compared to some other sites I use :-D

For some reason Genealogy - at least at "hobby level" attracts older people. Grumpy old Men and Grumpy Old Women. Sore joints and failing memory don't make for a cheerful outlook so GR is bound to be a bit contentious.

Like "barbinsglos" above, i'm a relative newbie but I can't say i've seen much which i'd find offensive, certainly not enough to outweigh the help which you give people on the Find Ancestors or Genealogy boards.

To quote the old phrase...If You can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

There are many of us more mature lovelies on this site but I dont think our aches and pains make us grumpy.
The sense of humour from most is very very amusing. so quick witted too.

It's just the few that like a good scrap on a regular basis.

Agree with you Malcolm that the help one gets is great.

I can stand the heat and I'm gonna stay in the kitchen a bit longer cause the good outweighs the bad.

Having just about done my tree, as an older, but mainly housebound one with plenty of aches and pains, I come on here for the banter and to get a laugh.
Sadly, I don't think this weekend, has been one of those occassions. It hasn't been to everyones tastes, and the cage rattling, gets abit OTT at times
However, as Barbinglos has said, I will stay in the heat of the kitchen a while longer.
