Good Morning Wend and Island.

Oh dear, sorry Wend, I did not see your post. I am so sorry it appeared that I had ignored you. It was not intentional, though I was in a hurry to get the tea ready so I could watch Strickly.
So please, please forgive me. It is the Sabbath, so please forgive.

I am feeling rather envious as we didn't have enough green tomatoes to make chutney, or even enough red ones. So no chutney for us this thear, although I did make a few jars of cucumber relish which is very tasty.

Ann, we were lucky and spotted them on a small holders market stall. Someone had put in a request and didn't buy all that the grower had brought with him.

I'd previously used late FiLs home growns.

I made cucumber relish last year from someones recipe on GR. Yes, very tasty.

Island, I have given up making my own Chutney, because at best there was only me eating it. These days, I like Picallilli, better than chutney, but there again, there is only me eating it. So, I end up buying from the supermarket. But, I cannot always get one that suits my tastes. I like the veggies cut very small so that I can spread it on a sandwich, rather than large pieces, that I would "shovel up", when eating it as a side dish.
OH gave up eating these sort of things years ago, as he had an ulcer in his teens, and thinks anything acidic, may affect it.
