I am feeling rather envious as we didn't have enough green tomatoes to make chutney, or even enough red ones. So no chutney for us this thear, although I did make a few jars of cucumber relish which is very tasty. |

Ann, we were lucky and spotted them on a small holders market stall. Someone had put in a request and didn't buy all that the grower had brought with him. |

Island, I have given up making my own Chutney, because at best there was only me eating it. These days, I like Picallilli, better than chutney, but there again, there is only me eating it. So, I end up buying from the supermarket. But, I cannot always get one that suits my tastes. I like the veggies cut very small so that I can spread it on a sandwich, rather than large pieces, that I would "shovel up", when eating it as a side dish. |
