George is totally right which was my next thought ....

Anyone going through READING in Berkshire try to find another way ....friends of mine are saying the trains are packed coz theres a reduced service through Readding from the west of the country!!!

i,m not sure this affects anyone but just letting you know ...thats all

I thought it said on southern news that the disruption to travel at Reading was only over the Easter holiday, and it should be back to normal service after.
Also trains between Reading and Basingstoke are running normal and you can get a fast train from Basingstoke to London.

JoyBoroAngel I dont mind how long it takes but when its gone from a simple 53 mins to 2 hours 20mins!! Its crazy to think its added that amount of extra time and knowing Reading it wont be any better!!

Yes there is but again that takes 2 hours and 20mins!! same as the train!!!

Kemp you are right.

There was an article on London Tonight last night about Reading Station.

They are going to be working 24hr a day over the Easter to try and get it workable for next Tuesday. I think there is a National Express that goes London/Reading.

But obviously people dont want too much faffing about.

Keep my eyes peeled for any more news.

It will affect all those coming from WEST areas of the country ....as READING train station is having a multi million pound refit till 2014

Just looked on Transport for London website.

Part closures next weekend on Northern, Piccadilly and District lines. but nothing else I can see yet.

I will look out during the week, and post if anything major crops up. Hopefully not!!!!
