Sharron hope all is well with your dad.

Sharron Report 8 Nov 2012 12:37

He is on his way there now.

I rang the neighbour, the one I have taken to various appointments so that he didn't have the worry of finding them as well as attending, asking him if he would mind not having a beer this afternoon so he could take me to the hospital if anything should occur where I might be needed.

He had already had a beer so I asked if he would come with me if I am needed.

Apparently I know the way myself and he has problems of his own.

Wound up now? Moi?!

I have just received a call from the surgeon who has not operated because the old man's eyelids turn inward due to age and this must be rectified before the cataracts are dealt with, each seperately and each involving three days without warfarin.

So I now have four of these events to plan.

Oh joy!

Sorry to hear that today didn't go as planned.
I hope you get a decent night's sleep tonight before you have to put on your organiser's hat again.
Such a waste of time and resources when circumstances aren't checked before a procedure..... to say nothing of frayed nerves.

Hope you can get something sorted soon.

Sorry Sharron. I was hoping by now that you would be sound asleep having got today out of the way.

I wasn't impressed by your neighbour who seems to like your help but can't be bothered to be there for you. Or have I got that wrong?

Stay strong lovely lady.

Sharron Report 9 Nov 2012 10:53

The will of Sod maybe?

I think it was a bit knee jerk with my neighbour. Anything like that has to be mulled over in his mind for a couple of weeks and I sprung it upon him.

Well I am truly knackered today, although I didn't do much yesterday I was wide awake at 4a.m and have been asleep until the phone rang to book an appointment to do the annual review of his care package.

He never used to need a PA!
