It is tradition with us that every year we buy our son (now in his 40s) a box of chocolate liquers. Each year they are getting harder to find. He doesn't like whisky so I usually look for the ones with cherry liquer in etc. I have seen one box of really expensive ones but as theya re an extra don't want to pay too much for them. Looked all over town today in the usual places, plenty of whisky only ones but no mixed. He might have to go without this year unless our local garden centre have any.

M&S?

Although we haven't even thought about Christmas pressies or nibbles, let alone look, they had some last year....I think! :-)

Lidl and the Range are good places to look.

We have a shop called Boyes here who always have liquers. Don't think they have a store in your area though.

Several of the supermarkets do Elizabeth Shaw's Famous Names ones which includes whisky but has other liqueurs as well and Waitrose do a dark chocolate cherry liqueur box for about £5. Not sure how big the box is.

I shall keep looking then, have to have them in a couple of weeks because we take the pressies to them then. May get to the Range and will look in M&S so thanks for the suggestions. :-)

Ann......got a large box of mixed today in Asda £7....they also had the cherry brandy ones in M&S....but a very small box!

AnninGlos Report 11 Nov 2012 15:55

We don't shop in Asda as our main one is on the edge of town and not very convenient. But I shall bear that in mind as there is an Asda we can drive to I think. I tried the range today as somebody said they had them, they did smallish boxes for a pound but all whisky based. I have just under 3 weeks so plenty of time yet and I do enjoy a challenge :-D
