yeah the washing will probably come home and at least its not like her boyfriends parents who have had both boys move out within a month of each other, at least we still have the other 2 here.

At least now it means my bathroom will get redone as hubby been waiting til shes gone, and means he will have all those little jobs to do in her old room then when Tiddler moves into it all the work in her old room so Laddo can move his bed into there.

Wait until it is your grandchildren leaving home, then, if they live away, you don't always see them when you visit the children, and they don't come to see you because they have their lives to lead. Love to see them spread their wings and grow but do miss them as littlies.

In about three years all six of our children had left home...was it a shock! Oh yes, no more cups etc left in the bedrooms, no more inviting friends around and at the last moment asking if they could stay for Lunch/Dinner, the weekend etc! 5 of the six were boys and I really missed my daughter the most but love them all.

Did I cry when they left..yes I did, of course I did and then I became even more proud as they made their wishes come alive, traveled a great deal and then grew it the caring kind people I always wanted them to be.

I learnt to let them go, enjoy my friends and became even closer to my husband than I thought possible.

Finally they also have given me my wonderful grandchildren.

But Dawnie, take heart. Sometimes, in enough time, they come back with partners and sometimes a sprog or two in tow.
This is the voice of experience talking, here, you know LOLOL
