The latest fad appears to be square plates - have you exchanged your round plates for fashionable squares?

I bought a complete set of square crockery about 6 years ago when we moved house.
Cups. saucers, dishes, side plates & dinner plates. I love them. Only complaint is that they are a bit too big. We use the side plates as dinner plates.

I bought a complete set of crockery 3 months ago - and bought round plates. Knowing me, anything with corners is likely to get severely knocked - and you can't knock corners off round plates :-D

I have square dinner plates, side plates and bowls, I also have other unusual shaped crockery, I love to arrange food on unusual dishes, I think presenting a dish nicely is nearly as important as what it tastes like, and have been known to spend as much time on the look of the table as I do cooking what goes on it, and I like to colour coordinate food I think of it almost like art :-D

I've had my Habitat crockery for yonks and really should replace it as it's getting tatty, but I like it :-D. It has round plates and lipped bowls which stack nicely in the dishwasher. I do like square ones but find some of them very heavy, and they must stack well or it's a no-no!

I too have a set of dinner plates, side plates and bowls -all square and I also like them.
Mind you I still have my Govencroft from the 1970s and that sometimes comes out as well.
I'm with Lynda and like all sorts of plates.
Take care
