The women are randy, the men are weak, but the lovely couple in the centre of it all still shine. I just loved how they jived (and did a great job of it!) in the kitchen. Am still enjoying this enormously! :-D BC XX

Love this gentle love story.

Dont forget the last episode is TONIGHT. So not to clash with the Christmas Schedules.

Alas, I fear it will not have a happy ending.....................

Morning All.
Brilliant as usual.
Mowtown, I also think there will not be a happy ending, alas.
Nollaig, didn't think Jacobi could move his hips like that. He was better than her.
I would jive with him, anytime.

I think the wedding might be called off ( at first ) cause on the highlights from tonights show Alan was really upset at how thingy reacted to to news of her daughter being a lesbian
Agree with you all about Jacobi dancing. Bopping as we called it

I was shocked at Gillian. I want her to team up with her b.in law

Looking forward to tonight

I read somewhere that Anne Reid and Derek Jacobi asked for the jive session to be written in as they both like to jive, it wasn't part of the original story.

ChrisofWessex Report 19 Dec 2012 17:35

Oh I so wished I could jive again! It was lovely, Derek did a good jive, so often the men just stand there! I did read where Ann had heard he was a very good dancer.

Jive, quickstep and viennese waltz were my favourites.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 19 Dec 2012 17:45

I could quickstep and waltz, viennese and normal but not jive.

I won a competition for bopping, and came second for the twist at school! Useless at ballroom stuff, though.
