I am not actually reading a book but am having it read to me. (Audio books)

Ian Mortimer's The Time Travellers Guide to Elizabethan England. The narrator has a wonderful voice and the book is written in such a way that the author invites you to
envisage life as an Elizabethan. His other Audio book The time travellers guide to medieval England is as equally engrossing. I try not to listen to it while in bed because the voice makes one so relaxed that I would fall asleep before hearing too much of it. I do however listen to it whilst in the bath but stay vigilant in case I fall asleep and drown :-D

Please Phil, work your magic and bring our thread back.

We are relying on you!

Muffyxx Report 3 Dec 2012 08:29

I also popped in to post on that thread...grrrrrrrrrr

Just finished Pompeii AD 62..which I really enjoyed..and have just started The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 2 Dec 2012 23:21

Just came on to Genes Reunited tonight to add to the "What are you reading" thread

Even went upstairs to get the last two books, so all ready to go but....
thread has disappeared Again!

Will just mention that the books are "The Bertrams" by Anthony Trollope.

"Black Diamonds" The Rise and Fall of an English Dynasty by Catherine Bailey
a reallly interesting non-fiction book.

To this thread, to the Irish research tips thread, to others, and Phil has found them; before his appearance on the scene, no one could find lost threads. But why should he have to do it? The site is becoming more unstable :(

Mersey Report 2 Dec 2012 21:09

Thanks Joy I have contacted Phil now, as you suggested last time so will await the outcome , will then so as you say it does seem silly that this keeps happening to the thread for no reason.....

AnninGlos Report 2 Dec 2012 21:08

I was just going to post on it too. Just finished daughters of the Grail by Elizabeth Chadwick. Really enjoyed it.

Ask Phil again Mersey.

Joy Kentish Maid Report 2 Dec 2012 21:01

I would go direct to Phil to ask him to find it again, if I were you and, once he has found it again, I would send a letter of complaint somewhere; not customer services, if I were you, but Chris Van Der Kyle.

Mersey Report 2 Dec 2012 20:55

Thanks DET ..... :-)

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 Dec 2012 20:54

Sorry to hear that - perhaps there are gremlins in the works? That was a good thread even for non posting bibliophiles.

Hope they find it tomorrow.

Mersey Report 2 Dec 2012 20:48
