Whilst I was at mums I found my Dads signet ring, which I promptly put on my finger, I have worn it ever since as it should have been mine. I couldn´t cope with it on my middle finger so I moved it and I have now lost it.

So folks I am signing off because I have to search my whole house to find it. I have already searched the sink ( we have a bit grapper) I now have to search the rubbish.
fingers crossed and tomorrow the garden.

When my mum died,at her request dad removed her rings. I wore her engagement ring (always promised to me) dad had her wedding ring.

He'd intended to wear it on a chain around his neck until he was able to give it to my elder sister, who was flying home from US.
Dad was in a state and put the ring down...somewhere,and lost it.

Frantic phone call !! I said retrace your steps Dad , which he did (even in his upset state)
....He found it :-D,He'd been peeling potatoes and had put the peelings on a piece of newspaper and thrown them in the bin ,but the ring was on the worktop ,next to the newspaper and got bundled up and thrown out too.

He probably couldn't see with the tears in his eyes.
He was so desperate,he would have torn the house apart , luckily that was not necessary after checking his waste bin.

So Uzzi ,look in the most unlikely places and try to remember what you did after taking it off.
I hope you find it ,I'm sure you will !

Oh hon, hope you find it soon, I hate losing things and with that ring being of such sentimental value it's sad that it's disappeared.

I have mislaid a Victorian ring that came down through the family, I am sure it will turn up sometime but it's been missing for two or three years now. I know I should have put it away immediately but it was when I was packing to go on hols a couple of years back and changed my mind about taking it with me, tucked it into something to keep it safe and can't remember what it was I tucked it into.

Maybe you need to talk to St Anthony, and promise a donation to charity if he helps you find it, maybe I should do that too

love

FOUND IT. Panic over

It was in the plug hole of the shower. Poor hubby got home last night to the floor strewn with the rubbish bin and me sifting through it. I have to say I was getting frantic and the last place I thought to look was in the shower must have come off when I was washing my hair !
It is now back on my middle finger I will have to get used to wearing a ring on there because I don´t intend on losing it again

Uzzi,

St.Anthony helped you!
Last week I found two precios rings which I had not had for almost two years. One was my engagement ring and the other was a celebration of out 10 years of being married. I made every excuse known to man when my dear husband asked why I did not wear these rings anymore and as I had experienced a "brake Down" he said no more after a while.
I hunted in every place I could think of and then thought I must have thrown them out with the rubbish .

Last week as I walked by our cabinet I stopped and opened the middle door picked up a small glass and lo & behold there were the rings......where did the come from. Where had they been........I am wearing again......

These are the glasses that I use when having wine so the rings could not have been there a few days ago, not sure if I should have been spooked or not?

:-D :-D :-) :-)

So pleased you found it Uzzie.
When my Dad died my mother asked if I wanted his watch. I said it would be more appropriate for my brother to have it & I would have his signet ring.
She swore black was white that he never had one.
I was sure he did & so I asked my brother & he agreed with me & described the ring exactly as I remembered it.
To this day we have no idea why mother denied all knowledge, but that´s the sort of person she was.

When FIL then MIL died we donated their clothes to various charities.

We checked all the pockets and I found (well it wasn't really lost) my FIL's wrist watch and signet ring.

I put the strap through the ring and fastened the buckle and gave both to Oxfam.
