With Bomb Sight you can discover what it was like in London, during WW2 Luftwaffe Blitz bombing raids, exploring maps, images and memories. The Bomb Sight web map and mobile app reveals WW2 bomb census maps between 7/10/1940 and 06/06/1941, previously available only by viewing them in the Reading Room of The National Archives.

Thank you for posting this, my uncle was a fireman during the blitz...must have a look

shame the old street names are not there, the Olympic stadium stands where my father lived not the old streets.

That's a shame Stella, the Road where I lived is on there, and am surprised how many bombs were dropped there :-(

that is one of the reasons i was born in Yorkshire,my mother got blitzed out so many times she came up here to live with her sister. I did look for the names of streets that are on my family tree so i suppose some of them would not be there now anyway.I might have another search tomorrow...some of the street names were hidden by the red spots as well..
