When I was about 21,I found out that I had a half brother, sired by my father to his legitimate wife. My parents would never talk about him so it took me forty years to find him,and when I did he had the same two names as my youngest son,John Peter.

Leonora is one of the names on the list when my son was born, I didn't know the sex before the baby arrived so had a list of boy and girl names. He ended up with two from the list but not Leonora!!

Yes names are a funny thing. Remember saying to to my mother I was going to name my first daughter Leanora, without knowing, she said don't unlucky but I didn't ask why.

Since doing family tree found her sister who died was a Leanora and her father also had a sister Leonara that died.

Still like the name.

Lovely words. It's just over a year since my darling husband died and at last I am learning to dance in the rain instead of shutting myself away from the world xx

When our grandson eldest daughter was born they decided on Charlotte Grace.I was very emotional cos Grace was my mums name , She died when grandson was 9 days old so he never knew her. I do think that its not coincidence and something there is guiding things.

My mum had a mantra. Whats meant to be will be. AND its not worth worrying about tomorrow cos you get yourself in a tizz on what may never happen.

We have taken on board that philosophy with OH present diagnosis of early Alzheimer and Lewy body dementia Just enjoy each day as it comes.

Hi Tenerife Sun

She is determined those will be the names now.

I was really surprised as I had only just managed to put her on my tree ( after a lot of faffing about with the tree problems)

I love the old names too. :-D

All the old names are coming back but her selection of the exact two names of her great great grandmother seems more than coincidence to me.

Hi everyone

Over Christmas I was given a file of my hubbys mothers side of the family of which we previously knew very little.

Boxing day, family were here and OH,s g.daughters were discussing babies names.

Oldest said when she has her first daughter she will name it Florence Louise. She didn't know why, just really likes them.

I was thrilled to tell her. that was the name's of her maternal Gt Gt Grandmother

Now she is bit more interested in Family History :-D
