Bob got there before me. I love music but it really lost a lot of its charm once my hearing started to deteriorate. I still listen to it now but, even with aids, I need to have it up a bit too loud whcih for me distorts it somewhat. If I have it low I miss some of the more delicate parts. OH still listens to it a lot when on his PC. I bought him the latest Susan Boyle for Christmas and have downloaded it myself. It is beautiful, her voice has 'grown' and I love it. He also had the latest Adele and an Eva Cassidy both of which I shall download. I also had a Jack Jones CD and a Rod McKuen both of which I have played and like because they are part of my past. Don't like much modern music though, so no I don't think you actually grow out of it, maybe he used the wrong words Susan, is his hearing ok? :-)

A few years ago (ok, MANY years ago) my niece was at my house.

She saw the LPs (which I still have, but they're packed away) and she said

Wow, what a big CD!

:-(

CDs are on the way out (so I'm told) because everybody will have an ipd (or whatever) and download from the internet..
