I haven't been on this website in a very long time, but I wanted to ask.... has everyone's membership dues almost doubled this year? Mine last year were $14.49 and this week I was charged $27.16!! I live in the USA.

There is a long running thread on this on the suggestions board Paula. Yes ours have doubled as well.

I'll try that too! How can I get in touch with someone from GR? I don't typically trust websites that will not disclose the price of membership and or list very clearly contact information. I can find neither. I have barely started looking for contact info though. :-D

No Problem ! I found both, and the "Contact Us" link finally.
I am very disappointed in the findings and will be deleting my account. Need to make sure they refund me the most recent charge first though!
I have been a member since 2003 under this name and honestly didn't use it enough to justify the $14 (28 for 2 trees) per year but now it will be over $54 as I have to have 2 trees. (one for my birth family and one for adopted). :-(

You shouldn't have paid for two trees as they are free. It is posting and sending messages and viewing other trees that you pay for.

Paula, if you have two accounts make sure you don't use the other one for posting messages as they don't usually refund money if the account has been used.

If you keep an account and don't want to pay the next subs, make sure the Automatic Renewal box is NOT ticked.

Good to know KenSE, Thanks. I replied to you on the other board too. Going to try and contact someone in the admin offices to see what can be done. I had no idea storage of the tree info was free though! :-)
