We ordered "steak" in a restaurant in Eastern Europe... the menu was written in Cyrilic (spelling?) which we were not familiar with....... very dark meat, and very strong taste. To this day I think we ate Dobbin.

Must go look at my rear view. :-D

Tell me about it! We lived there for 18 months. :-(

Every couple of months we'd go somewhere (like Frankfurt or London) with 1 suitcase with clothes & an empty one......... and go back with it stuffed full of "luxuries" like soap, shampoo, deodorant, cheddar cheese, chocolate etc

I really don't see what the problem is here, other than the inclusion of horse meat was not declared on the label.
Legal problem.
No difference to eating venison in its different forms (dear, elk, reindeer etc), or impala, zebra etc etc etc.
Hedgehog baked in clay is okay too, if you're hungry - and if you are, there's always worm stew or a nicely rotisseried rabbit.... :-\
