Sharron Report 19 Jan 2013 00:44

Did I ever claim to be a typist?

Wend

Wend Report 19 Jan 2013 00:30

I could possibly agree with you Sharron, if I knew what onches are.

Sharron

Sharron Report 19 Jan 2013 00:14

It must take ages to plant those seeds where it says 'prick out every 18 onches'.

Island

Island Report 19 Jan 2013 00:07

I am having the electrics put into my shed at the moment. Then it will be lined.

The desk is in the bedroom at the moment because I have a hospital bed in the front room. The desk will go in the shed so I can escape into the dark ages in peace.

Ooh, no, Island! Smelly dangerous old things, parafin heaters, and make things damp. I'll just wait for spring. :-)

Island

Island Report 18 Jan 2013 16:50

Get yourself a little parafin stove Geordie :-D

You could make tea, toast crumpets and keep warm all at the same time :-D :-D

I've got a lovely summer house in the back garden. It has a leather chaise end sofa, bookcase, wall unit for my favourite bits and pieces, coffee table, extra armchair for hubby, TV and Hi Fi. Trouble is, even with a fan heater, it's too damn cold to use much of the year, like, er........now!

What's wrong with dusky pink carpet in the shed ? ;-)

Ours has had that particular colour for a few years ! Courtesy of the bathroom ,tiled now so next will be a different colour from another room !

Think it may have two layers now for 'extra 'warmth ....couldn't afford to have the first layer professionally cleaned :-D

Just to make sure OH knows where to go - friend sent him a ceramic plaque which is screwed to outside of shed and reads 'This is xxxxx's shed.'

Wend Report 18 Jan 2013 15:40

Well, Chris, I've got a lovely piece of old rose pink carpet covering one of my compost heaps :-D

We had a 6x8 shed and a 6x8 greenshouse. OH got rid of both and had a builder lay a deep concrete base and on it what is laughingly called a potting shed 12x8. He does raise a few seeds on the window side. His father was a builder - has his tools - OH was an engineer and when he retired - a van brought his tools home!

Has light, power (lots of points), heating (elect rad.) music centre, CD's, tapes and radio, has heavy duty underlay on floor and DUSKY PINK carpet on top!!!!!

Just so happened I was redecorating spare room at the time and beggars cannot be choosers!

Can anyone beat a pink carpet!!!!
