Just heard that he died today.Think he'd been suffering for some time.
Love him or hate him,he was quite a character.

Apparently liver specialists gave him 18 months to live last August.

He was outspoken and abrupt sometimes but He always seemed to talk a lot of sense. According to Michael Caine he was kindhearted.

RIP Michael.

He did a lot of good work in fundraising for the police, the Yvonne Fletcher memorial fund.

He had been very ill following eating that dodgy oyster a few years back and had Heath problems since then.

I watched a programme about him a while back and realised he had a kind side to him, which he hid with a different act most of the time.

Glad he finally married his long suffering partner Geraldine, she will miss him and his finicky ways so much. He was certainly a character who used his talents to the full

May he rest in peace.
