Good grief, what dreadful people.

Horrible. They appear to call themselves Christians.

Gee

Gee Report 28 Jan 2013 10:09

OMG Mr Daff

Did you get that info from this site?

http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=82806

Did you read the other comments, now this lot are a bunch of extremists :-0

eRRolSheep Report 28 Jan 2013 08:50

I didn't mean on here I meant generally.
I had a conversation with someone yesterday who referred to all people from the Middle East as Muslim. I tried to point out that many different faiths were born in that region but they wouldn't have it.

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 28 Jan 2013 00:32

Now could they be unhapppy in those countries because they have bases for the extremists? Sorry that should read orthodox! or just nutters.

Nothing like a visit to a family gathering to find a couple of indiscretions.or perhaps locating a secret school for girls or maybe a woman doctor?

and the punishment is: lose a hand, one or two eyes, tongue or life.

No wonder they are unhappy.

NB the above is simplified cos it's late.

MrDaff Report 27 Jan 2013 23:13

Errol, and where was that from?
The OP is about the reported Muslim Vigilantes.
I don't think I've read anything about the Jews, Orthodox, Zionists, Zorastrians, Druze, Yazidi etc etc ..... have I missed something, or have you ??

And no, if you are 'from Britain' you are not necessarily Christian .... you could be a Muslim, or any of the above. What you are probably not likely to be is a Vigilante.

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 27 Jan 2013 22:57

how sad that many people are so racist in that they think anyone from a mid east country is automatically Muslim
If you are from Britain does that make you Christian?

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 27 Jan 2013 22:54

I said there'd be more ...

Many Muslims today are not happy!

They're not happy in Gaza .
They're not happy in Egypt .
They're not happy in Libya .
They're not happy in Morocco .
They're not happy in Iran .
They're not happy in Iraq .
They're not happy in Yemen .
They're not happy in Afghanistan .
They're not happy in Pakistan .
They're not happy in Syria .
They're not happy in Lebanon .

So, where are they happy?

They're very happy in Australia ...
They're happy in New Zealand .
They're happy in the UK .
They're happy in Canada .
They're happy in the US .
They're happy in France .
They're happy in Spain.
They're happy in Germany .
They're happy in Italy .
They're happy in Sweden .
They're happy in Denmark.
They're happy in Norway.

So, they're happy in every country that is not Muslim !!!
And who do they blame?
Not Islam. Not their leadership. Not themselves.

NO!!! THEY BLAME THE WESTERN COUNTRIES THEY ARE HAPPY IN!
AND THEY WANT TO CHANGE THESE COUNTRIES TO BE LIKE THE COUNTRY THEY, OR THEIR KIN, CAME (better, still.....ESCAPED) FROM.....WHERE THEY WERE UNHAPPY IN THE FIRST PLACE?
(Well, Bugg*r Me, have I missed something here?)

These 'vigilantes', from the couple of articles I've read, appear to have occasioned ABH on men they accuse of being homosexual.
There is no proof that these individuals were such, and obviously these extremely 'brave' group members did not have the courage to accuse these people openly.
Of course, it could be that they are not particularly good Muslims anyway - surely they should know that to even voice an unproven accusation of illicit sex could if unproven, under Hadd, result in their receiving eighty lashes?
Also, by declaring they are 'vigilantes', then they also do not believe that their religious leaders and judiciary are 'up to the job' - hmm, be a bit more than lashes for that, were this an Islamic country, methinks.

More to follow, I think ....

maggiewinchester Report 27 Jan 2013 10:37

Well, John, they'd only be 'justified' if the extremist either couldn't read or hadn't read/didn't know the Qu'ran.
Which would mean he wasn't a Moslem, just the usual self-opinionated, ignorant moron. Many of which exist in all societies, religious or not.

These 'vigilantes' - they don't deserve that name, just makes them feel they're 'big'..
These thick morons may be using the name of Islam to apply their thuggery, but basically they're just racist, sexist, idiots, who haven't got the sense to see how their actions not only affect their neighbourhood, but the other innocent victims, those of Islam.

If those who have been harranged by this lot came back with their mates - guess who would run the fastest?

JustJohn Report 27 Jan 2013 09:17

To get this thread over 1,000 posts, you need a Muslim extremist to be doing his family history and say that the actions of these Muslims are justified.

I expect all these very long threads are full of anger and disputes - it is the missing ingredient here, Sue. :-( :-(

From what I've read I believe the police are treating them as hate crimes, Muffy.

Are these vigilantes antics being labelled as *racist* or *hate crimes in the national media*? Genuine question. x

Thanks for replies. I have answers in my head but feel like death warmed so if I replied at the moment I would definitely get reported.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to form another question without sounding non pc but I doubtt it :-P

If they want to apply Islamic laws to members locally of their Islamic faith, then can't see the problem. Same with Catholic Church or any church or club - you have rules to follow.

But if I walk through a Muslim area in any city a few feet behind my wife I think I am entiteld. And if I am want to go into a sari shop in my work boots, I think that is my right. I guess it is the legal right of the owner to tell me I am not welcome.

And if I was living in Islamabad or Riyadh, I would try my hardest to respect their country.

These young extremists are so out of order. They so disrespect Western culture, yet choose to live in the midst of it. :-(

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 25 Jan 2013 15:11

Rabbanic and Christian law also exists in this country, Islam isn't on its own.

Catholics cannot divorce and remarry - should their priests be saying that they can because that's the law of the land, even though it goes against the Pope?

People who follow many religions adhere to the laws of that religion, should they all be told to leave as well?

If people choose to obey religious laws that's their business, as long as they don't try to make me do the same.

Merlin

Merlin Report 25 Jan 2013 14:18

Sharia Law Exists in this country, but it is ignored because It would be regarded as Racist to stop it. If people wish to live by that Law then they should (In my opinion) go and reside in a Country which has it,other than, that abide by the Law of this (Their Adopted Country). As has been said the Elders/Muslim Leaders Condemn what is happening,They should do more than that, they should preach in their Mosques about it being Unlawful in this Country.**M**.

Gee

Gee Report 25 Jan 2013 10:40

I may be naive but I like to believe that we live in a tolerant society, where diversity is embraced.

Growing up in the 70s, I was subjected to racist abuse, merely for the fact that my family were Irish.

We were all (according to the perpetrators) members of the IRA! My humanities teacher used to call me an ‘Irish Polly’ on a regular basis.....rather ironic, wouldn’t you say.

These so called ‘vigilantes’ are merely thugs and bullies using ‘faith’ as a tool to validate their unacceptable actions.

The Qur'an does not endorse this type of behaviour and the majority of muslims would denounce these actions. The majority of muslims are good people.

While I don’t condone this type of behaviour, I also can’t help but think it is another tool for the media to evoke race hate.

I can understand groups of immigrants wanting to live in ghettos till they are established. Same as for all other immigrants - they stuck together at first. Huguenots, Irish, Jews and now Muslims.

Huguenots are now 100% integrated. So are Irish. Jews almost. And too early yet for Muslims.

Much of Belgrave in Leicester is what we call a ghetto. Small Heath in Birmingham similar. It is many years since that row in Luton over a poster showing a women with not too much on.

Such a lot is happening now within community groups and inter-faith groups and I am more confident than SueCrutch about our future. But anybody who believes that any part of England should become a Muslim enclave and abide by Sharia law should be dealt with firmly by the leaders of that community. And charged accordingly under the SOVEREIGN law of this land.
