Do you know, it never occurs to me to think about how I am preparing the carrots so I suppose it is 'as they come'. If roasting they are in chunky bits! If steaming, in sticks. Can rarely be bothered to do them in rounds. (Don't like carrots much anyway unless new baby ones, then steamed whole.)

I only ever cook organic baby carrots with trimmed leaves left on, steamed to perfection of course :-D

I've a penchant for roast roots and cut the carrots in trangular chunks for this method :-D

Ma in law was a stickler for carrot etiquette - sticks if served as a seperate veg and round slices strictly for stews only.

How do you cut yours? Are rounds too common for the roast?
