I just copied & pasted the joke to an email.

I sent it to at least 10 of my friends & family who will all laugh at it...... because they have a sense of humour!!!!!

I feel sorry for those people who have no sense of humour :-\

John came on here for the sole purpose of winding people up and starting an argument and he succeeded - nothing new there then is there most people, if they see a thread they don't like they either ignore it or just put an emoticon to signify their dislike, but not you - you have to launch off into another dose of your verbal diarrhoea

AnnCardiff Report 1 Feb 2013 09:50

"I only went on the Wales thread because I new the meaning of the word" - but then you know everything dolt you but you can't seem to get it through your head that fellow members do not appear to like you in any which way - if there are any perhaps they'd like to come on here and defend your uptake on this thread - not holding my breath, but you never know - and aren't you due in work - they'll never manage to cope without you

and you "condescendingly" read this thread :-D :-D :-D :-D

how very kind of you

Doubt many saw Stephen's post. But it was rather informative about cyanide properties. Just hope Stephen isn't a confectioner ;-)

It is part of my plan to contribute, Errol. Just like you contributed to my rugby thread to say I didn't know what I was talking about - even though I never have said I knew much about rugby.

I usually laugh at humour. And often I get upset when somebody reports a funny thread because it is near the knuckle.

But this "joke" just didn't seem to be funny. I wanted to have a chuckle, but I condescendingly read it and and grimaced. And I ventured forth my opinion.

As I trust you feel free to do if I post something that you find boring, innacurate or unfunny. :-)

so if you did not find the joke amusing why add to the thread in the first place?
If it is not your cup of cocoa then add to a different thread - or is it part of your plan of "grooming" people?

I hate upsetting anyone. That has never been my motive for contributing to these boards.

No, I didn't laugh at OP. Not my sort of humour at all. Surely I have a right not to put :-D :-D

But I do agree with AnnC that the boards have been boring - and I tried to suggest ways they could be less boring. Just an opinion - not meant to sound patronising in any way. I was trying to smell the coffee or cocoa.

AnnC I have only gone on Welsh thread because I know the origin of the Welsh name for Leeswood. Have done quite a bit of research around those lead and coal mining villages between Mold and Wrexham and I hoped my explanation of Coed-llai would help. Absolutely no purpose in my post other than that, I promise.

upsetting people is a very bad thing but would not expect you to understand that - everywhere you post there is dissent - I see you've even gone back to the Wales thread

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 1 Feb 2013 01:26

John - wake up and smell the "cocoa" - it was a joke thread and should be taken as such.
From your comments you obviously think it was a true story but you can sleep easy now you are reassured that it was purely a joke

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 1 Feb 2013 01:24

And is that therefore a bad thing?
