With Spring fast approaching, and Summer just round the corner, spare a thought for the insect population.

If you kill butterflies, the saying goes that you eat no butter for a week.

If you kill a honeybee, you have so honey for a week

And if you tread on a cockroach...........

It goes crunch and gives birth to zillions of baby cockroaches :-0 :-( :-( :-(

JohnLovesHorlicks Report 14 Feb 2013 09:27

An elderly couple, both widowed, got married. They were given advice by their respective children.

Do not kill a honeybee or you will have no honey for a week. And don't tread on a butterfly or you will have no butter for a week.

Oh, said the bridegroom, his face beaming:

I've just stepped on a weevil :-0 :-0
