On the Facebook page there is a newspaper article about the 'last' witch trial

What a shame they only looked up on Wikipedia - well known for being incorrect

The last witch trial in the UK took place during WW2 - April 1944 Helen Duncan

I get so angry when they are so lazy about research...... :-P

Technically 2nd is not really mil as we are living in sin - lasted far longer than 1st marriage!!!

Jane Rebecca Yorke (1872-after 1944) was an English medium who was the last person convicted under the Witchcraft Act of 1735.

arrested July 1944, trial September same year
Duncan was the last to serve time
