Has anyone been watching this marvellous series? Seeing how life can change in a nanosecond, makes you want to make the most of every day.

The doctors are a joy, and so dedicated, and to top that they have such good sense of humours , which must help everyone.

The op last night on the little girl was amazing, just wished they had shown an update, on all of last nights patients.

I watched it Lynda - brilliant series. Agree about the doctors, amazing people and yet very down to earth and humble

My Mum had a brain op, where they drilled into her skull with a hand drill, so I'm not squeamish about them.

But the op on the baby last night where they literally took her skull off and rebuilt it, was something else, and when they pulled her face back into place, well I let out one almighty gasp.

Just watched it on catch up. Brilliant. Such a shame that the little girl who had the skull re-construction had to wait for the ICU bed and had her op delayed but probably much more distressing for her mother at the time.

I am not a very emotional person but the reaction of the mother to her 3 year old's diagnosis made me very sad.

Hope the young chap has a good recovery and meets that 'pretty blonde'.

Makes you think doesn't it.

There is also a programme called Brain Hospital which I mix up with this one.

It was mesmerizing to see the way they took that little girl's skull apart and fashioned her a new one, and all the cases and ops were amazing. The kindness and dedication of those surgeons was a joy to watch, how wonderful that there are people who are so clever to do such operations. I really hope that young man has several years yet with his family, and that the little girls will be ok. I can only imagine how I would feel if it was a member of my family with such problems and felt sorry for the woman who was so upset when she was told the news about her daughter's illness. How many times have we wished we could turn the clock back and not hear bad news?

I also watched Walking Wounded, where the photographer who lost both legs and one arm went back to see the amputees in Afghanistan where he lost his limbs. He was very brave and did really well to carry on with the photography etc but I felt so sad for those people who wouldn't have the help with rehabilitation as much as he did, and who can't get the help quickly enough to save their damaged limbs or to have their lives saved. The poor girl who lost a leg and was left to work in the hospital ironing, who said her family wouldn't let her marry a man who wanted her, touched me. She was denied the chance of a fuller life because her parents denied permission. There was a man who didn't want his son's damaged leg to be amputated because he would be unable to work and take care of the old man in his dotage. Eventually he did give permission for the leg to be removed but how selfish of him to think only of himself at first. If I had money I would try and help the people get better aid so they weren't sent home with no hope of being able to support themselves or live well.

We don't know how lucky we are.
