It was a much smaller site back then and just about everyone who posted knew everyone else.

It was Postie Paul who had the Breakfast cafe and Arthur who ordered kippers, Kay. Arthur had a pub thread.

I can remember your pathetic banging on the door, BC. And the chap who always ordered kippers so we had to open the window. At least I think it was the kippers.

Silly but fun & those threads had you in stitches when you read them back, that was when you got the full humour from them as they moved fast at times

Postie Paul had a breakfast cafe and Chris H and I were the staff. We had a jukebox as well I seem to remember.

The Breakfast thread worked in two ways, one gathered people together for a chat & a laugh, the other meant that those who lived alone let everyone know they were ok each morning.

As I drove home some threads of the past they entered my head

Of when we checked in each morning on the Breakfast thread
Cyber coffee or tea was served to all who wished to call in
You could have thick Bacon butty’s or biscuits from the tin
Hilarious evenings spent with Granny trying to outwit poor Mo
As on ram raids on Grannies mobility scooter bravely we‘d go
The basket with Tena and spare drawers stocked well
Where we were going not till we got there could anyone tell?
Granny always had a fireman or two locked up in her cellar
She would not let them out, however often we’d tell her
One cold winter’s night the temperature minus one or two
We went to help someone, do you remember who?
