Molly will act her age until a cat dares to come into her sight, then will race off after it at great speed. :-D :-D

Sometimes when she does this I fear for her old heart, then think 'Well she will have gone doing her favourite thing' :-D :-D

Apparently cat food has too much protein in it and is also harmful to a dogs kidneys.....or is it liver? Anyway, one of the two.

I do not quite understand about dogs not needing the protein , before tinned and the complete biscuit type foods dogs were fed nothing but meat scraps & still lived to a good age.

The same can be said about cats being given milk for generations.

Cat food is far more nutritional than dog food and in fact will not cause most dogs any problems.

However, it is not advisable to feed dog food to cats.

This was from my vet some years ago.

Daughter's dog always preferred my cat's food :-|

Dogs eating cat food is better than cats eating dog food, apparently.

Probably because dogs are omnivores and cats are carnivores, which is why I can't understand why cat food manufacturers insist on putting vegetables in certain cat food :-P

My old dog wouldn't touch canned dog food ~ he'd sulk and go on a starvation diet.

But he would eat cat food.

Half the time I'm sure he thought he was human. He would eat everything except dog food & carrots (he would lick off the gravy and put the carrots in a neat pile in his bowl).

:-D

Maggie ~ I've also heard that dog food isn't good for cats
