Can anyone remember the war drama on Tv possibly the 70s about an Australian family before during and after the war?.....I can't remember it for the life of me. I don't think it was Family at war because I think that was English....wasn't it?

The daughter was Kitty and she had 2 long platts and their was 2 sons, the eldest was called up but didnt want to go he was what do you call it when they object to the fighing, the second son was John and he couldnt wait to get called up, he was killed in action, the dad had been in WW1 and he had, had a bit of a fling with the landlady from the local pub dead glam as I recall and she had a barman who leaned on the bar alot and polished glassess....

The eldest wanted to be a Doctor and he wanted to continue his training, his dad wanted him to go to war and fight like he did, he married a german girl from the corner shop as I remember, and we all remember Mrs Gossip from next door

I loved that show when it first aired on our TV's I think it was in the 70's.

Thats her Carolee Mrs Jessup, she had a married couple as lodgers in the earlier series the husband was a bit of a spriv and womaniser.

The Mother Sullivan had one fo them happy faces that smiled when she spoke, such a cheerful smile.
