My comment about My Account doesn't seem to apply any more, It must be the new system they introoduced yesterday that has fixed it.

Maybe they kick everyone off the signed in status, to clear the server?

FreeBMD seem to do the same

Having to sign in has been occurring more frequently recently.

Are you signed in on all 4 GR sites? If not then following a link might put you on one of the sites that you are not logged on to, you may not notice until you try to post or look at messages when it will want you to sign in.

If the PC goes into sleep mode and you have a GR page open that may sign you out.

I find that if I sign into My Account, then when I come out of My Account I have to sign in to use the site.

Yesterday I was adding some notes to people in my tree. Brought up the person. Went to the 'notes' part. Nipped over to the Ancestry page I had open to check details. Came back to GR tree, the person, notes which was also open and every flipping time it took me back to me as the home person. In the end I gave up. It did this once before and then righted itself.

Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

I have been on here since 2003 and rarely have to sign in, especially to messages when I am already on the site.
