How Old Are You ??

You were born before pencillin, polio jabs, frozen food, xerox, plastic contact lenses, video, frisbees, and the pill.

You were born before radar, credit cards, split atoms, lazer beams, ballpoint pens, before dishwashers, tumble dryers, electric blankets, and drip dry clothes.

You got married first, and then lived together. You thought "fast food" was what you ate at Lent, a Big Mac was an oversized raincoat, and crumpet was what you had for tea. You existed before house husbands, computer dating, duel careers, and sheltered accommodation was where you waited for the bus.

You had never heard of FM radio, word processors, yoghurt, pizza, or young men wearing earings. For us a "chip" was a piece of wood or fried potato, hardwear meant nut and bolts, and softwear wasn't a word. The term "making out" referred to how you did in exams. A "stud" was something that fastened your clothes, and going all the way meant staying on the double decker bus to the depot.

In your day cigarette smoking was fashionable, "grass" was mown, "coke" was kept in the coalhouse, and "weed" was a dandelion. A "joint" was a piece of meat you roasted on Sunday.

No wonder you are confused :-D

I was born in the past, live in the present and look to the future.

How old I am means nothing.

so true Tec

I learned a new one.

I always thought a cone was an ice-cream.

Not so!

I said I'd like a cone, my niece laughed!

She informed me that a "cone" these days is something to do with smoking dope! :-(

I didn't ask for more information :-D
