AT LAST OUR COUNCIL ARE CUTTING THE TAX EXCEMTIONS FOR EMPTY HOMES AFTER A SURVEY
Empty homes: no Council Tax payable for the first month. A 50% charge will apply to month two, 75% charge for month three. The full charge will apply for the following 21 months
Long term empty: after two years of being empty, the Council Tax charge will increase to 150%
Uninhabitable or undergoing structural renovation: 50% charge will apply
Second homes: 100% charge will apply

One month free is too short - you have very little chance of selling a property empty because of death or transfering to a care home during that time.

but dizzy your posts about housing not offices
i think 6 months would be a better option

Good idea.

Down the road from me there is a caravan site, where they built some chalets, the owners of these & some static caravans, do not pay any council tax as they move out for 6 weeks a year.
