Thank you, everyone - I went in today and got sent home :-D
Spent a lot of the day sleeping - my favourite activity when I feel ill.

Elizabeth, it can't be seen in the thumbnail, but mum is wearing her 'utility' suit, and slippers!!!

That's dad's bike - probably a BSA.

Take care Maggie - thought it was strange you posting in daytime! Do take care. Ignore phone. I have had two calls re PPI this week, am fed up with cold calls and have been on TPS for years.

Ann - take care - son started with heavy cold after two days it went into a streamer but kept saying he ached all over then he ended up with chest infection.

poor you - I unplug the phone if I'm ill in bed - I have been laid up for the past 24 hours or so with the sudden onset of what sems like flu or similar - my pal rang me to tell me she had exactly the same - nose running like tap water - so bad have to plug it with paper hankies - we spent the day together on Saturday in Abergavenny - must have picked it up there

I didn't go to work today - I'm on 2 lots of antibiotics that have varied and disasterous side effects :-(
Managed 2 days at work - but my vision got so bad yesterday - alternating blurriness and then eye blasting clarity - I wondered if I'd be able to walk to the other end of town to get the bus.
Couldn't sleep last night, woke up with a migrane & vomiting.

Woken up by landline - someone (cold caller) asking to speak to daughter's ex - who she broke up with 5 years ago. He got an earful.

Cold call. Red mist..... All the cold calls have been real people - all told (amongst other things) that I'm on TPS.

Call from council in reply to e-mail from me concerning my (apparent) rent arrears. Point out to him that it may be the end of the financial year, but sending such statements ON THE DAY RENT SHOULD BE PAID is a waste of money and a red rag to someone like me, who pays a month's rent on the first working day of the month, and has never been in arrears.
