Painter's and Decorater's are turning up at my place.........8am Saturday morning to do the Hall, stairs and landing.

When they arrived to do an estimate......i told them........11 doors, 2 of which needs to be painted on both sides.

Showed them exactly what needs to be done..........then, painter man number one, decides to do a recount and informs me that i have 11 doors that need painting, 2 of which needs to be painted on both sides!!

Oh really!!...........Well i never!! :-0 :-0 :-0

Carol - If it was me I would say no. If roofers don't have a ladder with them to assist in giving you a quote then I would avoid them. Contact your local authorities who should provide you with a list of genuine roofing contractors to solve your roof problem.

I worked out how many tiles were needed to do my bathroom and told the man from the housing association.I had also bought the tiles ready for him to put up.

He had better work it out properly (girly?).

I was sent to the tile depot to buy two more boxes which were needed so badly he didn't even open them!

I have a hole in my kitchen ceiling, the flat roof needs replacing, so when it rains I need 2 bowls to collect the drips :-|

I had 2 men come to give me quotes on the cost of repair. The conversation went something like this:
Them... "Have you got a ladder we need to measure it"
Carol... " It's a 12ft x 12ft kitchen"
Them..."Where did you say the ladder was?"

Show them & one goes up on to the roof, whilst the other gets out pen & paper..

Man on roof calls down... "12ft by 12ft, wood needs replacing round edges, I'll just measure it".

Now do I really want to trust them to replace my kitchen roof?
