Got woken about 04.30 by our dog panting in distress.
The battery in the smoke alarm had run down and it was bleepimg.
She hates the noise and an hour and a half later has just about settled under my feet.
The battery is out and I'll replace it in the morning.

Poor you, I know how annoying that bleep can be, ours has done it at night sometimes and woken me. Not sure it would wake o.h. if there were a fire, he sleeps through every noise there is.

Don't forget to replace the battery asap

Hope the dog will sleep now

Do they have a smoke alarm in Rome where the conclave starts on Tuesday? It would be a shame if a false alarm sounded out on the presence of a little whisp of white smoke!
