Caerphilly Castle Ladies Football Team lost 43-0 to Cardiff Metropolitan Ladies in the Welsh PREMIER League.

They have had a bad time in last 10 games, conceding 219 goals and scoring just one - in a 14-1 defeat against Caernarfon Town.

What advice would you give these ladies? And have you ever seen your team score a lot of goals?

Obviously the ladies have the enthusiasm and competitive spirit, possibly their strategy is at fault, and perhaps they need a good coach, not the charabanc kind.

:-D :-D They do a lot of travelling in the Welsh Premier League. It is 4 hours on the charabanc to Caernarfon, for example.

Three years ago, they won the prestigious Welsh League Cup. But loads of their team joined nearby Cwmbran FC recently and that has left them really struggling

Hope they find a good coach soon, Bob. How demoralising can 43-0 be? Must be the biggest defeat ever in football.

My team Wolves greatest victory was in early 1955/56 season against Cardiff at Ninian Park. 9-1 away from home.

Persuaded my dad to take me to return fixture at Molineux (I was only 9yo). I thought it would be 43-0 to Wolves, but I think it was a boring 1-1 draw. :-(

A minor league team I played for back in the fifties made the national press when we had about 280 goals scored against us and only about eight for. That included two 26-0 defeats. Can't remember how many games were played but we did win one point with a 4-4 draw.

Our big problem was that for most of the games we played we didn't have eleven players.
