It took me over 7 years and a new partner before I became pregnant after losing my daughter soon after birth so I know the heartache of wondering if and when it will happen. I was very luck and fell the first week of trying again, things didn't go right between me and the fella but I have my lovely son and hope I will have grandchildren or at least one grandchild as he seems to be settled with his lady of 2 years romancing. She already has a little boy of 4 who has many grandparents and extended family including his daddy and stepmum and half brother so I can't see me getting very close to him altho he's a nice little lad (diabetic so has to be injected etc) |

I don't really hold with fertility treatment. If you want to conceive and don't then there isprobably a reason for this failure. |

We know at least 3 couples who are childless and 2 couples we are extremely close to. However, I would never dream of asking that question a) it is none of our business and b) could possibly cause heartache by asking. |

Completely agree Chris. I don't have any children by choice and I would never dream of asking anyone why they don't have children. |

Tell them and then ask them why they do. |

I've never been asked why I don't have children of my own but had many assume - say even - that I didn't want them. :-0 :-S |
